The Ring ratings from October last year were:

    1. Timothy Bradley
    2. Amir Khan
    3. Devon Alexander
    4. Marcos Maidana
    5. Andreas Kotelnik
    6. Juan Urango
    7. Kaizer Mabuza
    8. Paulie Malignaggii
    9. Lamont Peterson
    10. Paul McCloskey

And this was before the Peterson fight. Guy was so dissapointing at 140 the magazine owned by his promoter couldn't even place in the top 10

All this hype is based on one win over an unproven Berto. When Mayweather embarrasses him, things will go back to normal. That's the good thing about that fight

(At 147, I would probably be inclined to say Ortiz has the power and speed to stop him, but it's tough.)

Still, most aren't making the case that he's better. They might like him more, but they are going off of hype. Not necessarily bad hype Just hype. He's coming off a big underdog win in the biggest fight of his career. Fight Of The Year candidate. Now, he's facing one of the best fighters in the world and it will be a hugely promoted fight. He's bound to get more attention and people will make cases that they might not otherwise make.

Still, only one way to find out who's the best of the three. Let's hope we see it.
But to say Bradley and Khan wouldnt top Ortiz in his WW fight against Floyd.

PS: I dont discredit Floyd-Ortiz, but to say this is the best fight for Floyd in WW (outside Pac) is highly questionable.

this exactly. ortiz has always had a good and entertaining style to watch. at 140, he wasn't in the top of the list like bradley or khan, but people knew he had some talent. now he takes a fight with berto (someone who is overhyped) at berto's weight, and just drew with peterson, he wasn't likely to win. but then he showed us what he was capable of doing when his back was against the wall and actually outdid berto. how can you not like that? the fact that mayweather/ortiz is happening wasn't really known to anyone, i mean some people thought it could happen, but many doubted it. either way, his welterweight debut performance was amazing, but i deff don't think he's wayy better or even a better boxer than khan or bradley. but as a fan of his, i'd root for him against them. but no, i don't think anyone is saying ortiz is another level above khan or bradley (skill-wise)

That diva Bradley doesn't deserve a shot at Floyd. Bring on Khan! Khan got the skills. He can do it!

Because Ortiz passed the test at 147. Yet Ortiz is very hittable by powershots, which Amir and Bradley could better him in that aspect. But power Ortiz has the advantage over them.

but would have khan dropped him and make him stay on the ropes like that? even survived that brutal 6th round? i think what made ortiz's performance so good was that no one expected to him to perform like that...

i reckon khan would have overwhelmed berto more than out power him and khan probably would have survived that 6th round, would berto survive if someone was dishing out some shots like khan had to take in that brutal 10th round against maidana i dont think so,ortiz he quit against maidana

                      Berto was a bum.

Ortiz will quit again when the going gets tough. He is a coward Aztec, through and through.
