I dont like the fight.. I didnt like it in 2008 and I dont like it now. Its all about styles and margaritos style is all wrong for Cotto. Plus other than redemption, this fight does nothing for Cotto. He gains nothing if he wins.. but Margo gaines everything if he beats Cotto. I beleive margo cheated in the first fight but of course my 2 cents dont mattter. We will know omnce and for all in the rmatch.. plus this time Cotto has a trainer that will make sure he is ready. .. and for those of you that say you dont like what you saw in the Mayorga fight, you hav to understand it was a plan and they executed it to perfection. Cotto kept the fight in the center of the ring and kept turning Mayorga as he lunged forward, also its not easy to look good against Mayorga his punches are not typical punches you see from a boxer.

what a wasrte of a fight for cotto,first mayorga amd now someone who just took one of the worst beatings i have ever seen and hasnt looked good at all in his last 3 fights...not a good fight for a champ..should hsve tried to unify or gone after cintron who is not beatup as marg...nothing out of beating a guy like marg

It means alot for Cotto which is the most important thing. I think this is more Cotto trying to avenge his loss and leave the doubts to who is the better man. Even if he loses again. At least he will then know Margarito is the better man. He said it already he wants Margarito and Pacquiao again before he retires so if the mans wants to avenge his loss, why not let him. This guy damn nearly ended and ruined Cotto's career in one night with alot of controversy behind it that he had loaded gloves, so this has alot of meaning behind it.

Both Cotto and Margarito have been in several wars over the past 3-4 yrs and both received a brutal beat down from pacquiao so we cant really say one has an advantage there.

am i the only one not that excited about this fight. im still gonna buy it cause i want to see cotto get his revenge but this rematch has lost alot of its luster to me

His eye is fine and if Cotto thinks he has an advantage there, he's in for another beat down. Margarito had to wait a few more months because he had a surgery to remove the clouding of the lense of the eye( a cataract). He had no issues of detached retina, his major problem was the fracture which often welds a lot stronger after a fissure.
Margarito at full 154 is going to apply so much powerfull pressure its going to wear him down again. Oh yeah, and Margarito might be going back to Capetillo for this fight. I wonder how Cotto is going to react to that. Of course capetillo isn't going to be at his corner but that didn't stop Segura.c

That's all he needs. Cotto isn't like Mosley who can clinch in order to no let Margarito gain any momentum and he's no were near as fast or as strong as Pacquiao. Segura still executes his gameplan when Capetillo isn't on his corner, their team knows excactly what to do. The question is what can Cotto do different in order to win? We saw how Mayorga even with a sloppy pressure did enough to make Cotto unconfortable. Margarito has the style to beat Cotto and nothing Cotto does will stop Margarito at 154.
