It just doesnt do anything for me. To me it seems like the powers that be are trying to hype this up as some superfight between rivals when its not.
Chavez vs. Pirog, Williams, Martinez.
Alvarez vs. Martinez, Williams, Cotto, Angulo, Wolak, Dziznziruk.
Are much better more meaningful fights. I dont see why everyone is excited.Comment

I mean its not a super fight obviously more like a fight between prospects who happen to have pretend world titles but it shouldn't be boring. It just doesnt do anything for me. To me it seems like the powers that be are trying to hype this up as some superfight between rivals when its not.

I support this idea. Maybe early next year. Man, I feel like celebrating. I think two hype jobs should lose to each other like Timothy Bradley vs Devon Alexander. I don't want to see another Juan Manuel Lopez scenario. Although, Orlando Salido deserves the win since JuanMa took him for granted. You know two more fights him and Gamboa would have fought at PPV earning big bucks. Anyway, Canelo vs Chavez Jr. is a good idea. Bob Arum is taking a big risk since he will lose one of his golden goose/cash cow like JuanMa. What is Top Rank doing? Same thing with GBP? The fights are all entertaining and what the fans like to see. I think they are searching once again for another PPV star and to do that boxers have to go through a gauntlet of trial by fire. Good luck!

I say why not? Both fighters are riding high a wave of popularity, are undefeated and have titles and this fight would be huge in Mexico. If the fighters, promoters, tv execs, etc. wait too long, one or both of these guys might lose a fight or two and then this proposed fight isn't as big...Comment
