its easier to make money when you have some. like if i fought someone and got 500,000 i'd go flip some houses and be a landlord in peoples faces when i wasnt in training camp. listen *****...air conditioning is LUXURY

Uh, talent can take you as far as you want. He's a great boxer and hasn't lost a fight and been champ for a very long time.

One word. Personality. How did Ali get as big as he did? How did Tyson get as big as he did? They had personality. They weren't a Manny Pacquiao, or a Shane Mosley type of character. When they talked, you listened. He got rich because people want to see him. The haters may not wanna say it, but whenever Mayweather is on, they'll watch.

He sells a character just like wrestlers do in WWE. Not to mention Floyd is quite adept at thinking outside of the box and for 3-5% has a very powerful adviser. Ever heard HBO called Haymon Boxing Organisation??

Some good business moves to create exposure and a fan base that isn't particularly drawn to boxing. i.e. he did dancing with the stars and WWE which exposed him to a wider audience. He also keeps "in touch" with his fans via his website and twitter account.

Also he's very very good at his job.
