See that blue belt Matthew's always carrying? It the Fighter Of The Century world title. He gets to keep it even when he loses, because he's Fighter of The Century.

    Ricky was the champion

Just like Pac and Floyd, posters in this thread are duckin' and dodgin' Matthew Hatton like The Matrix.

Mathat = Boxer of the Eon. Believe that. An artiste of the sweet science in every sense of the world. His footwork? We'll never know because he moves so fast and so smooth you cant even see his legs. He also pretends to telegraph his punches to trick his opponents into countering, after which he pittypats them in submission with child-like power punches. Incredible.

Mathat's mere image strikes fear into the hearts of men. Terrifying

I hate when people compare other sports to boxing. You really can do that.
I see what your saying here, its just hard to compare different eras, your right boxing has been down and I still give the competition edge to the present, but its something we can.only fantasies and speculate when it comes to who beats who from different eras and so forth. I wasn't really comparing, I was just showing my argument in different ways, using the different sports.

3 lineal in the decade is greater than Floyd 2.

Pac held a win over a prime Barrera in that decade. Floyd has never beaten anybody as great, as skilled, or as versatile as that version of Barrera.

And, then you go years by years. They're even match. From 2000-2002 Floyd had the better years, 2003 and 2004 Pac had the better years. Floyd had the better 05, Pac had the better 06, Floyd had the better 07, and Pac had the better 08 and 09 to finish the decade.

        That's 5 years a piece.

Then you had what Pac accomplished and resume overall in that decade. Pac was the rightful winner of the decade. Plus Iole was responsible for the Yahoo award. And, he's like another Rafael but in Bizarro World.
just a mayweather fan, I see what your saying, I take nothing away from Pac, I put blame on Arum for these ****ty match ups, I think manny should speak up. for argument sakes I will say they are pretty even and you could argue both ways. correct me if I'm wrong, is mayweather the fastest to win 5 titles in 5 classes?

            umm what?

did you know that Barrera's next loss after Pac was against JMM which was what, after 5 years?

he won the 130 belt and had string of good opponents including 3rd Morales fight, Peden, Juarez and Ayala

that doesn't mean he was prime....I'm not saying he was or wasn't

just saying you can achieve a lot even when you're past your prime...

read my mind, I just don't think he was prime.

I really don't consider Mayweather anymore, that don't mean he won't beat Ortiz or Pac, or anyone else.

Wins don't equal prime, prime is your absolute peak.

                  gotcha

but since this NSB, we'll never know whats acceptable when comparing with either shot or past prime or weight drained

these terms pop out everytime Pac's opponent has been dissected whereas Floyd's were "prime" or "young" or "legit"

they were at least in better state when Floyd fought them ...

I don't think a fighter has to be prime to be a good win, I mean how many prime fighters can.one boxer face in his career, especially when they fight every 4-6 months.
Barerra is and was still a good win, always tough, just the formula to beat him ain't hard, imo
he is still a Mexican legend and will be remembered for generations.
