i don't think arum is 100% serious about jones. he just put him on the list as a backup/to blackmail other potential pac candidates.
it's an ugly tactic but common. gbp did similar with zab. aka sign our terms for khan ,or we use guerrero.

Wait until Mid-late 2013. This guy is still to much of a prospect.

All I'm saying is, for at least 1 round, it'll be interesting to see how Manny deals with the a tall boxer.

Forgive me for being an unbiased boxing fan looking for some interest in an upcoming match. I know unbiased boxing fans r rare now a days, but it just so happens I try my best to be one of them. And interesting up and coming matches r rare as well, so you'll forgive me if ANY POINT OF INTEREST AT ALL catches my attention.
lol wrong website for that kind of thinking, so don't waste your time my man! This site is full of biased hating fanbots that are more interested in the drama, gossip and the bla bla bla than actual boxing fights.

IF Mayweather and Pacquiao don't come to an agreement for 2012...then why not Mike Jones? I mean who else is there besides Floyd who's in the Welterweight div? Bradley? The same bradley that avoided khan? Pac gets crucified for supposedly fighting old timers, has beens and brawlers...now he's being crucified for the possibility of fighting a young, fresh up and comer unbeaten prospect with a 24-0 record, 18 by KO from Philly lol if anything this guy would make use of his height and reach as well as his speed and mobility to complement his above average boxing skills and would give Pacquiao fits.

isn't mike jones like 6 feet? If so then mike jones would have a huge height and reach advatange against pac. Jones will definitely be the biggest guy pac has ever fought assuming they do fight next year.

This is what happens when you clean out the division. I'd rather see Maidana vs Pac than this guy.

BULL****! Jones is 6'0 and he is a HUGE WELTERWEIGHT! I seriously doubt Arum will match Pacquiao up with him, he is blowing smoke

but Jones is a pretty good fighter and he need to be in more BIG MATCHES, he looks like a guy that can move up to 160 though with NO PROBLEM

wouldn't mind seeing him vs Vanes at 154

Mike Jones March 2012, Ortiz May 2012. Bet on it.

Bob Arum is an arse-wipe, and Pacquiao is a cherry-picking ducker.

So Ortiz is not ready, but Jones is ?

As an " unbiased " fan, perhaps it would be a better idea if Manny were to attempt to fight a top opponent? Just a thought?
