    Did Haye really beat Valuev?

I didn't bother to score the fight because of how terrible it was. But i do remember thinking with the reputation Germany has favouring home fighters i thought Haye had made the fight too close. I was a big Haye fan at the time so didn't really care if he deserved it or not (like alot of people).

Has anybody watched the fight again and scored it? Would be interested to hear peoples opinions on the fight (other then it being ****).

Other then the 12th i don't remember there being a clear round for either guy as so few punches were being thrown.

I know I had Valuev winning, I think by a point, just because he tried to press the action in most rounds while Haye ran. Haye's biggest UK media cheerleader Jim Watt also scored it for Valuev. I don't think Haye did near enough to take a champ's belt, but then, it was really Chagaev's belt anyway.

I don't know if I could stand to watch it again to rescore it. I might try.

Haye was the only one connecting with clean shots. even if it was only three shots a round. Valuev did all the pressing so I had the fight pretty even up until Haye hurt him in the 11th.

I thought Haye did win it, but the general atmosphere in the pub was that he had lost. Which was funny seeing as I was the only one in there who actually wanted him to lose.

It was a shit performance, either way.

actually , im sorry, it was the 12th round that Haye caught Valuev. either way it was a hard fight to sit through, but sure Haye did enough. anyone saying different just has something personal against the guy. Valuev just has size, the man can't fight worth a damn, and he didnt defend his title very well so i was more than happy with Haye being awarded with it.

Haye himself basically admitted that his whole strategy was to land a few clean punches and then run.

It was a similar performance to what Andre Dirrell did against Curtis Stevens.

Both were dreadful performances that bored fans to death yet it's hard to imagine a scorecard where either man lost.

How else do you fight an ogre? He got the decision on foreign soil, says it all.

Wow people are still debating about whether David beat Value lol. Jim Watt must have made everyone believe Haye was loosing by a far margin. I thought the fight was terrible and I remember thinking what on earth is going on in the HW division these days. Haye landed more punches but he didn't deserve to win. He did more out of the two but I wouldn't be bragging about that fight for too long if I was Haye.

dont know how any1 could have valuev winning that fight, he didnt land 1 meaningful punch and just plodded forward all fight like a dopey zombie and if your winning fights for that then theres something wrong. Haye won that fight hands down!
