You guys realize that the Erik Morales loss was Manny's first fight at super featherweight and Zahir Raheem beat Morales at lightweight? And like what JOM's said, by the time Manny moved up to lightweight, Zahir's name shouldn't even be mentioned.

Seriously, out of all the lightweight to pick. You pick Zahir, tsk tsk tsk...

I would make a case for Juan "Baby Bull" Diaz. Still, David "Dangerous" Diaz did beat Erik Morales for the belt and made a successful match against Ramon Montano. David Diaz fight was easier to make because he was under Top Rank whereas Juan Diaz was under some other promotional banner.

When all is said and done,

Pacquiao would have received more fire had he "ducked" the man who beat him, Erik Morales and fought Zahir Raheem..

People would still criticize Pac for fighting Raheem instead of rematching Morales,
              they would say

              - Raheem has done nothing in his career except for beating Morales
              - Pacquiao was scared of rematching Morales
              - Triangle theories don't work.. Pac shouldve rematched Morales
              - Morales is an ATG and Raheem ain't ****..
              etc..

At the time? Maybe but the rematch was diminshed because of the ease of how Raheem made the Morales fight look, Morales couldnt even make the weight for the rematch but was still force to comedown in weight for the rematch fight, The third fight was unnecessary maybe he could have fought Raheem instead at that time but i guess money talks.

I hate when people say this because Pacquiao wouldn't be fighting at lightweight for like 2 or 3 years after this. At the time people probably doubted whether Pacquiao could move past 130 at all.

Zahir Raheem is just a name people throw out there that makes no sense at all.
