Trainer Freddie Roach, speaking to The Daily Telegraph, gave his opinion on why WBA champion David Haye is great for the heavyweight. Haye faces WBO/IBO/IBF champion Wladimir Klitschko on July 2 in Hamburg. Roach feels the Klitschko brothers are boring figthers who are not risktakers.

Yes i did Tunney, overall Haye is far more exciting in and out of the ring. Unless ur blind. It does not make wlad any less of a fighter, but he IS boring. He gets the wins tho, so in the end thats what matters. Haye(like him or not) is great for the sport.

There is some heavy irony in the fact that one of the guys in your sig got tagged with the exact same, mostly unfair "boring" tag as the Klitschkos and got a truckoad of hate for it like they do.

Yeah I dont find them boring, they are technical and pick apart their opponents...id rather be boring and winning then be a warrior getting beat up

Roach trained Wlad for short period back before he trained James Toney. It was in his early days as a trainer. Wlad dropped him and Roach has been p*issed about it ever since.

Wlad may have had some fights that can be considered boring, but so has Haye.

In fact, I bet my house, that as soon as Haye gets a taste of Wlad's punches, he will make it a boring fight by deciding not to commit and looking to survive.

If Wlad is guilty of anything, it is not going for the kill when you know he could have it easy. Much of his "boring" fights is due to his opponents unable to do what they want against him, they then also fail to commit.

Haye does have an outside chance, but it will have to be early in the fight. The longer it goes, the more Haye falls apart.
