    Who does the fine folks here @ boxingscene believe is the best heavyweight of the past 30 years?

    IMHO its...

    1)Larry Holmes
    2)Evander Holyfield
    3)Rid**** Bowe
    4)Lennox Lewis
    5)Mike Tyson

    It's Larry Holmes, I like your list but I would flip flop Lewis and Bowe. Lewis or Holyfield can be # 2 imo.

        I have Bowe ahead of Lewis because of the lack of KO losses to B level fighters on his resume, and because of a dominant win over a prime, undefeated (possibly) top 5-7 heavyweight of all time in Evander Holyfield (not to mention a stoppage against Holyfield as well) + he was never defeated decisively.

                    There's a reason why Bowe ducked Lewis. Lewis was clearly the superior fighter. Back then in the amateurs, and when they were both in there prime.
