Cotto has beat Clottey and Foreman since losing to Margarito and is just a better fighter than Ortiz overall imo. Ortiz before Berto (who isnt as good as you think) struggled with Peterson, was on his backfoot against a shot blown up Nate Cambell and was forced to quit by a one dimensional puncher with amateur like technique. Also imo a win over Clottey is better than a win over Berto.

It appears that most of those who are not in favor are FMJ fans. Wonder why.

So how about Pac or Martinez? They are not in the tail end of their careers.

see that's just fanboy talk you saying Ortiz struggled against Peterson and Cotto beating Clottey Most people feel Ortiz was robbed against Peterson and Clottey was robbed against Cotto and as far as being forced to quite by a one dimensional boxer some could think you were talking about Cotto vs Margarito.

also Cotto never beat a guy as highly ranked as Berto as convincingly as Ortiz did.... some food for thought

Clottey>>>Peterson please stop and Maidana is a poor mans version of Margarito keep it real bro. Berto isnt any better than Judah and is less talented the only difference being Berto was protected.

So Phenom you're telling me Ortiz is a better fighter than Cotto? I have a feeling if he was fighting Pac instead of Mayweather you would have a more realistic rating of this dude.

Judging by some of these responses I can see why BS mismatches do well on PPV. What can I say?

Stop fronting if Pac was fighting Ortiz you would be talking about how much of a mismatch that was.

Because we hold Floyd to a higher standard, we don't like to see Floyd fight "no hopers".

No I wouldn't. I will be the first person to admit that I can't stand Pacquiao but Ortiz is a good young fighter in his prime. I would begrudgingly give Pacquiao credit for fighting him.
