What has Cotto done since losing to Margarito? Ortiz is a better opponent than Cotto because he's in his prime and isn't shot. Ortia is young, hungry, and has moment from the biggest win of his career. Btw, Victor's win over Berto is better than anything that Cotto has done since losing to Margarito.

Cotto has beat Clottey and Foreman since losing to Margarito and is just a better fighter than Ortiz overall imo. Ortiz before Berto (who isnt as good as you think) struggled with Peterson,was on his backfoot against a shot blown up Nate Cambell and was forced to quit by a one dimensional puncher with amateur like technique. Also imo a win over Clottey is better than a win over Berto.

I'd rather Floyd keep beating fighters not on the tail end of their careers. If Cotto does something like unify at 154 or beat Pac in a rematch then it would be worth it. But it wouldn't be worth it legacy or money wise.

So how about Pac or Martinez? They are not in the tail end of their careers.

No I wouldn't. I will be the first person to admit that I can't stand Pacquiao but Ortiz is a good young fighter in his prime. I would begrudgingly give Pacquiao credit for fighting him.
