its a possibility, but oscar stepped up to a ****load of weight classes and fighters; i think the farthest nelo can go is middleweight. he'd pretty much have to go up there and top hopkins's record to have a better career than oscar.

Canelo showed me that he belongs at the elite level in his division but that is all. No way in hell is he going to get close to what Oscar had accomplished overall.

Lets not get it twisted. I have a strong dislike for Oscar. I think he was very overrated fighter. I think he skills was also overrated. i don't think he's a great fighter. I don't even think he's borderline great. But, I think he was a great businessman. I mean he was smart enough to have the right people around him. And, IMO he's a first ballot HOF'er. Not great but a first ballot HOF'er. I criticize him a lot. But, I give him credit when he deserves it and I do that every time. And, I don't think Canelo would ever be a HOF level fighter nor do I believe he would come close the being successful in the business of the sport as Oscar was.

This is more me not being so impress with Canelo than me disliking Oscar.
