Oscar appeal in America was excellent, a minor thing that i believe Canelo has started to work on also is his english , he still doesn't know a lot at all but i think he at least understands what the other person is saying, hard to be huge in america when u dont understand or dont speak much english .... u can still be known as a "Good Fighter" but as far a being a mega-star in america that wont happen until he' gets that down....

even Manny Pac-Man has become decent with his english to where he can hold his own in american interviews and does primtime shows and appearances ...

all those play a big factor on becoming a megastar but i believe Canelo has began to work on this because when he first came out i dont think he spoke a lick of english or even understood it at all i watched him last night and the last two questions he answered on his own.

he looks damn good for a 20 year old. His defence improved a lot from his last fight. Lets just hope they don't "Vargas" him.

He won't even have the opportunity to surpass ODLH. I can't see any fighters arising who are anywhere near as good as prime Shane Mosley, Fernando Vargas or even an old Sweet Pea.

But he definitely has the look to be a big star. A red-haired, light skinned Mexican is certainly something unique. He'll stand out to the public.

He might be in Mexico but not in America so he won't have the same ppv numbers like ODLH

                is possible
he has the carisma, plus the internet ( oscar didnt have the internet)
maybe if he can beat names like cotto, mosley,

one think is for sure canelo is going to make a lot of money,

I saw an interview in spanish when he was trying out some nike shoes with his name

Canelo would be damn lucky to have half the career Oscar did inside the ring and business wise.

highly unlikely...he could be super huge in Mexico but you're not gonna really have cross over appeal in the US with an interpreter by your side
