Comments Thread For: Alfredo Angulo on a Possible Fight With Saul Alvarez

Junior middleweight Alfredo Angulo is finally returning to action after a long stretch of inactivity. The once-beaten Mexican is going to stage his next fight on August 20th in Mexicali. He sat ringside on Saturday night at the Arena VFG in Guadalajara and watched Saul "Canelo" Alvarez stop British boxer Ryan Rhodes in the tweflth round to retain his WBC junior middleweight crown.

Angulo will have a size + power edge on Canelo.

I think Canelo does everything else better.

If Canelo stays on his feet and avoids multiple knockdowns he should win.

kinda like Cotto vs Margo all over again.

Except Canelo is closer to Angulo's size than Cotto was to Margo.

      And their both Mexican.

Hard to beleive Canelo is only 20.Anyway i think Angulo stops him late no way Canelo hurts him badly Angulo puts on alotta pressure and is the bigger puncher of the 2.

Finally. Someone who will actually hit him back with something that could actually do some damage.

          Make it happen!

I don't think Canelo needs to hurt him.

Just gain his respect which I think he can.

Julio was outboxing Angulo for the majority of their fight,

Hate him or love him, Cintron is a bad-ass. That's the reason Cotto ducked him.

This will be an interesting fight!!! This will be a good fight to measure if Canelo is for real!!! If Canelo wasn't the WBC Jr. Middleweight Champion, I'll say this would not be a good fight for Canelo now in his career, the kid is just 20 yrs old but by him been the Champ he needs to step up to the plate and show he is the man.

Business wise I think will be good, cause 2 Mexicans on the Mexico's Independence Day would be really big in Mexico and west coast of US. Hope it gets done!!!

Why is angulo stating he wants to fight for another organization? Hmmmm. Canelo is good money, big draw.i smell that the wbc crooks ate trying to scram angulo out due to his potential danger.
