I didn't mean it in a racist way- I apologize. I mean that a great amount of African American prospects gain a heap of steam after lopsided victories...I understand that we need more domestic stars in the sport of boxing but I feel as if a lot of the hype is just because of the public desire for more domestic stars instead of accomplishments. Wasn't trying to classify you in a certain category- was just making a comment about how frequently this happens after fights like this. To me, Broner has power, speed, and skills, yes but I can't take away from his performance that he would beat Gamboa. Now, if the fight had gone say 6 rds or so and Litzau had actually done something to where Broner would've had to prove something or overcome some amount of adversity via his skill to win, then yeah, I'd be on the hype train too but he had to do nothing but throw some punches for about 15 seconds.

It is just a familiar feeling and situation to me just as the hype with The guys I mentioned in my prior post; they had this huge following and the certainty that they were the next superstars of boxing based on limited opposition or lopsided victories. Once they were truly challenged, they fell short.

I too like boxers from all countries, races, and backgrounds and would love for more top talent to come out of the states but it just seems that some of these young kids get really hyped when they really haven't shown all too much. To me, Gamboa has gotten rocked a few times yes but he is a freak of nature athletically and in a completely different league than Litzau is or was. I was dumbfounded at Litz's performance last night and he basically was a punching bag with no defense. Taking that into account, exactly how great was Broner's performance? What was so spectacular about it?

Once again, I did not mean to infer that you were some certain type of person or something my comment about the fighters I mention was more of a generalization regarding the hype that surrounds some fighters after a big win. The same thing happens with Hispanic fighters and European fighters after a big win. I just know threads will be popping up soon about Broner as a future p4p guy that will dominate this guy or that guy based primarily off of this KO performance. Nothing to do with you, I sometimes get caught up emotionally when posting- don't read too much into it...everyone is entitled to their opinions so if I say something you don't like, just tell me to STFU...lol, it's all good man.

      Gamboa by KO.

Gamboa would have KO'd The American Boy within the first couple rounds as well, just depends on when Gamboa let his hands go.

Broner isn't ready for Gamboa yet.

I think they could meet down the line though.
