Mayorga has only won 1 fight in the last several years and it was against Walker, a bum.

Mayorga is a very dangerous fighter. It wasn't an easy fight for Cotto.

Cotto/Mayorga=Cotto took 12 to k.o Mayorga >>> Canelo took 12 to k.o a total bum = Mayorga kicks the shit out of Canelo with a cigarette in his mouth the entire fight.

Exactly. It's really more of a test than anything. If he can't beat this version of Mayorga then he certainly can't beat any of the top fighters. Plus if he completely destroys him like De La Hoya did, that would certainly make a statement. Not even Cotto or Mosley were able to do that.
