Thanks for the post Tarver Jr. Yeah, I'm glad I grew up watching him box. He's been a big influence and excitement in my martial arts/boxing and his end was dramatic like all great atheletes. Watching Michael Jordan end it not making the playoffs by a game or two with the lousey Washington Wizards...to all the other great atheletes. They're all still great no matter how their career ended. Thanks!

I am happy my dad won. But I also gotta show respect to Roy. I made a thread earlier saying that Roy was irrelevant to boxing, but I just did that for fun. Anywayz watching Roy fight today showed some glimpses of what Roy used to be but with no cigar. The atheletic freak with awesome reflexes and handspeed is now gone. We now have the Roy Jones of today, a still physically fit, decent speed fighter. I still believe the Roy Jones of prior 2003 would beat my dad. But the Roy of now is nothing like his formal self. Roy needs to hang up his gloves and live his next life. He has money, family, a good legacy and let's respect Roy in this thread.

Your DAD never had a prime because he was having some drug problems. We never saw how good your dad was. Your dad is actually a little older then Jones. I know your dad has Jones number, even win they were kids.
