Luilun - it is one thing for Alvarez to call out Trout, it is another thing for his team to put him in the ring with the unbeaten Trout and that is not happening. They are going to milk the Alvarez golden goose as long as they can.

Not much wrong with letting a 20 year old develop some more. Quit hating.

Well Canelo Alvarez looked very good today, no matter what the haters say. It stands to reason that no matter what the outcome of tonight's fight was going to be haters were going to come out and criticize Alvarez.
He did good, dominated a very good mandatory and I think now we can say the kid is for real. I say bring on Kermit Cintron in December. The winner of that match should get the Cotto/Margarito winner.

Nice performance for "The Kid" and when I say "The Kid" I'm not being sarcastic as for a 20 year old boxer he looks very good, sharp and shows lots of patience over the ring, although I would had love to see him more active specially yesterday when he had imposed his will over his opponent.

I would like to see him against a good slick boxer with a good jab to see how he counters.

Overall it was a nice performance for a Kid that can only get better and will have a bright career.

He gave Rhodes the Wlad treatment, carried Rhodes into the 10th and 11th while slowly working the body and then punishing him in the 12th for the KO

didnt get the rhodes hype seen his hole carear hes average at best a knew he would get a kicking as for his performance it was poor never sat on any of the little punches he threw if you get your dream shot at a world title go out swinging and trying atleast canelo looks good to me looks very strong throws combos good speed power maybe abit overhyped

Canelo has good defense with good head movement needs to work on the body attack a little more but he is only 20 years old keep it up Canelo you are doing a great job.
