Bob Arum is content with cherry picking fights for his superstars (Pacquaio, Jr.) but is throwing one of his other fighters into a potentially career ending fight? It doesn't make sense...

Arum is doing a poor job with Matvey Korobov too, in a different way (Matvey has been regressing because of fighting poor quality opposition).

And why couldn't Arum get Pawel Wolak on HBO or Showtime after that impressive win over Foreman? Why is Wolak next fighting a defense-first, slippery opponent who is impossible to look good against?

November ? It leaves more than enough time for Pavlik to get a good tune-up, and I mean a decent fighter, top 15. He had trouble dealing with his last opponent, and dude was featherfisted.

It would serv Kelly to get another tune-up before this fight he definetly looked rusty and didn't have the same snap on his punches as well as his less than norm workrate but at this point in his career it might be more of a risk to fight lesser guys bcse lack of motivation and the chance he gets beat he's not getting any younger and how much does he have left or still really wants it?

But Bute is a top tier guy but not without flaws who keeps his hands below his waist and poses to much nothing that a jab straight right won't fix if Kelly can still pull the trigger and is willing to walk through some punishment Bute can really crack and he's extremely accurate.

Yeah this should be a good fight and a creditable win for whoever gets the W

**** tune ups. nowadays whenever I hear 'he needs more tune-ups', the fight usually doesnt ever end up happening. Pavlik thinks hes ready and he can go beat up a bum in the next two weeks if he wants a true 'tune up'.

I view this fight as a double edged sword for Bute. If he beats Pavlik he shouldn't really get all that much credit but then again Pavlik is better than a lot of the bums that Bute has fought.

Basically the way I feel about it, Bute should get minimal credit for beating Pavlik, but at the same time I wouldn't be suprised to see Pavlik pull an upset because of how untested Bute is. Which I presume the odds makers will make Bute the favorite.
