This is a bit unfair to Merchant. Don't get me wrong, the guy can be, and often is, an ass. However, this just seemed like a case of Tarver wanting to come off better than he actually was on Saturday. It would be like Danny Williams flipping out saying that the Tyson he beat was at his best, and therefore, Williams should now be recognized as being the best.
Tarver didn't impress me at all on Saturday. Any time Roy decided to throw a punch, Tarver was having trouble, minus the 11th. And the bottom line was, that Roy WAS being gunshy! So it was a perfectly legitimate question from Larry.
