Counter-punch? Wait for Floyd to come? Are you kidding me people?
Floyd's biggest weakness in the later part of his career is how passive and reserved he fights. That's why DLH actually had a close fight with Mayweather, when it clearly should not have been. Hell it even became a split decision.
He's gotta put the pressure on, let's see if Floyd still got those legs. Mayweather didn't avoid a fight with Margarito for no reason. If he cannot stop the attack with his limited power, he could be in some trouble.
No one is gonna outbox Mayweather, not happening.
THANK GOODNESS YOUR NOT ORTIZ TRAINER!
First off did you actually WATCH the Oscar fight or are you going by what people TOLD YOU...Oscar was getting reward simply because he is OSCAR and because of EFFORT, that dude Landing % was HORRIBLE that entire fight, he never hurt Mayweather and most of his Flurries he was landing on Gloves, Arms and Shoulders
The problem Ortiz will have is that he really don't know which Mayweather he will get, will he get the Slick Mayweather the one we seen against JMM or will he get the Attacking Mayweather...the one we seen against Mosley in which he was coming forward that entire fightComment

Victor Ortiz's life has changed dramatically since his April upset over then-WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto and his name is being thrust into the spotlight even more so with an upcoming showdown with Floyd Mayweather Jr. Ortiz defends his crown against the brazen and brash Mayweather on September 17th in a fight that looks more and more likely to be heading to the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
