Compare Haye's vocabulary to a bona fide moron like Floyd Mayweather. Haye is hardly using street-punk talk.

He's more eloquent than a lot of boxers.

He called him a ****head, so what?

i agree, as much as i cannot stand haye, hes a far better trash talker than mayweather, who s completely incoherant.

that is not true and you know it..when mayweather talks he backs it up in the ring..haye has been talking and he backed out of the fight twice,,so that means it's empty talk..at least floyd comes to fight and HE WINS..with haye it's kinda boring..he talks and talks but no action to back it up ..losers with no life might find it interesting but real boxing fans want to see the big mouth in the ring because that's what it's all about at the end of the day.

I'm a fan of Vitali but he needs to calm the **** down at times
It's his personality. It suits him, imo. Just notice how on air Haye never crosses certain lines with Vitali. Instead, he even gives Wlad praise as well.

I don't care who's ducking who,the fact that he bit**** out twice means his talk is not worth anything..mayweather can get under the opponents skin that's something haye can only dream off ..and on july 2 you will see that I'm right..if you think that haye is the better talker than that means his gibberish is gonna have an affect on wladimir..if it doesn't then that means floyd is the p4p when it comes to getting under the opponents skin.

They were a military family and were always being shifted all over the Soviet Union. Vitali was the older brother and he would be picked on when they went to a new school, so his father taught him to fight, and told him, no matter what, "if you fight, you fight to win." Their mother had to work all day so Vitali was placed in charge of looking after little brother Wlad, and promised to keep him safe. As he says in the film, it's a promise he still takes very seriously to this day: "They never told me to stop looking after him." Which is why he flips when someone beats Wlad, like Sanders. Vitali is indeed a serious man.
It's a great watch. They were brought up like machines, though, the two of them. In a school designed to create champions, specifically for the games. They were taught that americans were the enemy, and thrown several stereotypes - imagine the surprise when they actually met a few?

At the end, it was all sport to them. They always knew they had other chances and were under the mentality that you shouldn't risk it all. This is why he threw in the towel against Byrd - he figured his shoulder hurting wasn't worth it. They weren't taught that heart is how you win over fans etc in the business. He vowed since then to go out on his shield.

I love Vitali, he's got a good backdrop and I like his personality. He reminds me of these Armanien ****s. Notice there isn't a single 'nice' armanien in the sport?

"Good actuh" Abraham wants to knock things out, Vic is a time bomb, Vanes is hilarious and Art (Hovhannesyan) seemed to want to put his fist in peoples brain the other night.

Wladimir is a gentleman compared to that selfproclaiming great David Haye. I thought I could feel David Haye being scared, especially at their staredown. Wladimir is gonna beat the living **** out of David Haye. Can't wait for this fight. And these meetings before the fights are so freakin' good!

Vitali talks about that in the doc. Every day they had anti-US propaganda in school. Then he got to come over here as a kick-boxer, and went to a few malls, etc. It was like paradise to Vitali. "There were 100 kinds of cheese on sale," he says. "I only knew of one kind of cheese -- it was called "cheese."

He went back and told his father the US was a great place and his father, a military man, didn't believe it at the time (though he's since changed his mind).

At the end, it was all sport to them. They always knew they had other chances and were under the mentality that you shouldn't risk it all. Yes, and I'm ambivalent about the mentality of "go out on your shield" in boxing. It sounds noble, but is also the cause of a lot of injuries and mental health problems for boxers. It's the reason boxing isn't more accepted by the mainstream. But Vitali's toughness is never in doubt these days.

I did notice that during the long silence when Wlad is clearly angry, it is Haye who finally can't stand it and says something to break it.
