Indeed. I don't mind them to be honest. Pac is all they have, when he is gone they will have nothing. We on the other hand will still have boxing. They will have to wait for some new bandwagon to jump on. Maybe a Filipino will become a champion table tennis player and the tards will flood all the ping pong forums claiming the filipino player was the greatest player that ever lived and annoying everyone who had followed the game years before they ever even heard of it.

Sorry, would just like to point out that I don't think all *******s are Filipino. I got nothing against Filipinos or people of any other nation.

Man!!! How far up is you head up Frauds ass to not know that MP vs. JMM is set for Nov. 17, 2011 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas; at a catch of 144lbs. You are really out of touch aren't you?

      • This is what happens when you **** with people much smarter than yourself. Oscar and Schaefer realized their backs were against the wall, so they apologized and settled the thing out of court. Floyd, being the genius that he is, is reportedly not even going to the deposition which opens the door for Manny's lawyers to push for a judgment by default, meaning they'd automatically win without the long, drawn out trial process in a matter of weeks.

A few legal precedents in regards to defamation (internet-based) and the verdict/pay out:

Jury awards $11.3M over defamatory Internet posts

        By Laura Parker, USA TODAY

A Florida woman has been awarded $11.3 million in a defamation lawsuit against a Louisiana woman who posted messages on the Internet accusing her of being a "crook," a "con artist" and a "fraud."

Legal analysts say the Sept. 19 award by a jury in Broward County, Fla. — first reported Friday by the Daily Business Review — represents the largest such judgment over postings on an Internet blog or message board. Lyrissa Lidsky, a University of Florida law professor who specializes in free-speech issues, calls the award "astonishing."

Florida hospital must pay $5 million to doctor in slander suit

A Florida appellate court this week ruled that a hospital whose chief executive stated that a former employee was not even fit to perform surgery on a dog is liable for punitive damages – to the tune of $5 million.

Although the jury did not award Dr. Samuel Sadow compensatory damages, which normally approximate the financial loss resulting from the defamation, it awarded him the huge sum in punitive damages. The court wrote in the opinion that a large punitive damages award is appropriate when a case involves a "high degree of culpability" and "blameworthiness."

According to the opinion, Lawnwood Medical Center CEO Robert Dunwoody said in the presence of multiple doctors that Sadow "is not a good doctor. He has had multiple lawsuits filed against him. He is a bad person. And quite frankly . . . I would not send my dog to him for surgery.”

The U.S. Supreme Court has in the past stated that punitive damages awards should be proportional to the compensatory damages recovered by the plaintiff.

But the state's District Court of Appeal in West Palm Beach (Fourth District) ruled that because the statement was slanderous on its face and was intended to injure plaintiff, the jury could consider and assess punitive damages without any finding of an amount of compensatory damages.

And I think Courtney Love was ordered to pay $430 K to some fashion designer she slandered recently.

Floyd and the rest of the Mayweathers better get those checkbooks ready, Petrocelli has a treasure trove of defamation and slander from them

Lol, dude I hope that happens, so atlest then they will be gone from boxing. They tried to argue that Yao was the greatest center of all time, but that was a complete FAIL, so they quickly gave up.

I'm no Floyd Mayweather fan. Never have been. Your argument is pointless, because Mayweather has been tested when he fought Mosley and not the bulls**t commission tests but random olympic standard tests. He will also take them when he fights Ortiz. So he has proved he is not a peds cheat in my eyes. Can your boy say the same?

So were you shouting for osdt before mayweather brought them up? If so, i commend you, if not, then i guess you jumped on the bandwagon

I'm all for testing every fighter in every fight. but the fact of the matter is that when it comes down to it, its each state's boxing commissions who make and govern the rules. Thats who people should be pissed and protest at....imo

            • Tell me this is the equivalent to a kid being a tattletale and telling the teacher the little Johnnie just cursed in class?

              It's a B1tch move.

              • Hopefully if this judge grants in Pacquiao's favor, he doesn't get relected/rehired.

He needs to be replaced with someone better.

damn, you mean even the mere slanderous intention could result to punitive damages in millions? no need to assess whether it actually resulted to real damages to the reputation of the plaintiff? and in the event that there was it could result to more compensatory damages? again in millions?

No, this is the equivalent of a corporation protecting it's good name against another's slanderous and unfounded smear campaign. It's the same thing as Wendy's starting rumors that McDonald's make its nuggets out of rat meat instead of chicken. What do you think would happen in that instance? Exactly, Wendy's would get the hell sued out of them and forced to pay millions in damages. Manny Pacquiao's brand is a huge corporation, so this is no different.

The real b*tch move is a grown man being so jealous and envious of another that he, like a 13 year old girl, goes on twitter, U-******, etc and starts gossiping.

You talk out the side of your mouth, you better be ready to pay up.

Lol, why do I have a feeling that you wouldn't be so happy if it was the other way around??? Lol, imagine if Floyd was suing people for saying that he was using Xylocaine, I bet you wouldn't like that huh?
