I think the time zone change did effect Hatton and others.

You obviously haven't travelled much, or you'd understand what I'm talking about.

If you've slept from 11 PM until 6 AM all your life, then you travel to a time zone where it's 8 PM, but it's 4 AM where you've lived all your life, you're body will be feeling like you should be sleeping.

Time zone, travelling and altitude can make a difference, which is why Alvarez was sure to have the Rhodes fight in Mexico because he needs every advantage possible.

I don't think it will make a difference in the Ward-Froch fight though as it isn't going to take place at high altitude and Froch is an experienced traveller.

Yup, please bring this to MSG. That would be sick. Froch mentioned wanting to fight in Vegas, but I think he'd get his fairest US fight in NYC. It would be enough from Ward's hometown, that Froch's fans would actually greatly out number Ward's. Someone should advise Froch on this. With that said, we all know there is very little that can stop this fight from going straight to Vegas.

Kessler was affected by an inability to infight. There are tactics to confront a guy leading with his head. He used none. Locale doesn't change that and Ward would not have been penalized much for what he was doing anywhere else either.

Anyone who likes Kessler should be encouraged by what he showed off the layoff. His technique at close quarters has improved.

He's not rearing back and butting. He leads with his head forward. It's subtle and those who are good at it almost never get called. He didn't lose a round because Kessler fought him all wrong. No lateral movement, no uppercut like the one Montoya now seems to.be developing.

first of all. the judges won't be american.....the ref won't be american. outside of oakland no one even knows who ward is. both fighters will be STRANGERS therefore nether one will have a "home town atmosphere" america isn't like the u.k.
