There is a UFC card set for the same date in Vegas, I highly doubt both will happen on the same night in the same city.
    Just a hunch.

It's not like they were fighting some high altitude. Or Hatton arrived a couple hours before fight time. That said, I want this fight in New York, where the UK fans won't have to shell out extra and the east coast people such as myself can purchase a nice seat and enjoy a great matchup.
      You can say that again.

The Vegas experience is great and all but it sure as hell does damage to your pocket.

I might make the trip if it's in New York I haven't been to NY to watch a fight in a long time.

I've never been a big fan of Cordingley on a personal level (have referred to her as a "harpy" on this very forum), but I've respected how hard she's supported her guy - if you're in his shoes, that's a priceless thing.
It's funny, because when I saw the glimpse of their home-life recently on Fight Camp 360°, I was forced to think they actually make quite a cute, homely couple and seem like two decent people enjoying life together. Made me like Carl even more and even warm to Cordingley a little.

'Liking' prizefighters is a weird one for me. There are some I do fully warm to on that personal level, ofc (Gio Segura is an example of a guy I instantly warmed to when I got a glimpse of his personal character). But there are others -- and I used Mayweather as an example before, because he's currently the most critiqued guy for these reasons -- whose 'thing' or schtick may be partly composed of some elements that don't appeal to me. I recognize it as an illusory thing, though, and I'm able to perceive that there is a strong character and a decent man behind it, a man possessed of qualities I can appreciate and 'like'. The superficial stuff just doesn't bother me.

With Froch, it just seems that you make a point so often of stating how much you dislike him on a personal level, which is atypical of your usually rational style, so I was just curious. LOL, I'm still not much the wiser - but, no biggie.

If you just plain loathe the way he boxes, that's another matter. I guess you must not have much fun watching his fights.
To be totally honest with you after the Abraham fight I have warmed to him much much more than I had currently. And although I dislike him still I do like him much more than I once did.

The main thing for me was, I didn't like the way he acted before he won a world title talking he was something he was not and I truley believed he wasn't a good fighter, at all. Throughout the tornument I picked him to lose every single fight barring Glen Johnson. I just didn't believe he was a good fighter and I believed he was talkin like he was something he wasn't and it annoyed me. Turn's out I was wrong.

I felt Dirrell beat him and Taylor was beating him up until the KO and I whole heartedly believe Kessler beat him. But, I recognise he did what he had to do to win and espect him for that and he deserved to win the Dirrell fight more than Dirrell IMO, so I give him the benefit of the doubt. But Abraham, I was adament he would lose. I was so sure he would lose it was unreal (this may have had something to do with my dislike for him but hey, who knows) but when he beat him so decisively I had no choice but to stand up and recognize he isn't as bad as I think, and actually is a good fighter. The man has proved me wrong so many times I have to respect him and that's why I have warmed to him, because his 'Bull****' wasn't actually bull**** But the general annoyance and dislike still remains, now joined with respect.

Then when I'm starting to warm to the guy he comes on Ringside and Sky Sports news and trys to tell the presenters that 'They can't say he lost to Kessler' when I don't know about you but I felt he clearly lost the fight. Yes, it was close but he did lose. That instantly puts a bad taste back in my mouth about Froch because his whinging and moaning about that fact is genuinely draining, to me.

You used Mayweather as an example because you know I am big fan of him, I was presuming? I guess that was counter any argument I say about Froch being ****y and saying ****** things, no? Lol To be honest, had I not been an avid fan of Roger Mayweather I doubt I would be a fan of Floyd Mayweather Jr. Then again, he was quite humble coming up until he won a few titles and then that went out the window. But who knows, I like Mayweather for solely what he does in the ring which is where my dislike for Froch started because unlike the consesus, I find his style very unpleasing. But that's just me. All his out of ring antics just added to that.

I'm usually a rational guy. And I don't tend to dislike fighters personally in general. But some, like everyone, I just outright dislike. It happens, you know? Even if they are great, brave, exciting, charasmatic, and fight the best. Some people just dislike fighters for whatever reason. The problem comes in when a fighter isn't respected when respect has clearly been earned I.e Froch. Something that I personally, never do. I always give a fighter respect where it's due regardless to my dislike for them.

If the internet existed many years ago you would see alot more irrational statments regarding the likes of Muhammad Ali and Rocky Lockridge. Carl Froch should count himself lucky

You obviously haven't travelled much, or you'd understand what I'm talking about.

If you've slept from 11 PM until 6 AM all your life, then you travel to a time zone where it's 8 PM, but it's 4 AM where you've lived all your life, you're body will be feeling like you should be sleeping.

That really isn't difficult to understand.
I've traveled enough to know that unless Froch flies in on Thursday or Friday, for a fight on Saturday, he'll be fine.

Here's something else that isn't difficult to understand. They've known since the gate that the final was going to be in the US. I'm sure they're prepared.

One more thing that isn't difficult to understand. Carl Froch isn't making excuses, so what the hell gives you the right to?

....I'll answer that for you. It kills you to see a black, American man, beat the hell out of a white guy (Brit, German, Russian, etc.). You're seriously not fooling anyone. You have your excuses locked and loaded before every fight. And you just can't accept that, for instance, Andre Ward, shit on Mikkel Kessler, and that the result would have been the same anywhere in the world, other than your living room.

"Ward used his head.... waaaaaaahhhh.." Kessler used his head, too. To catch fucking punches.

"Joe Cortez... waaaaahhhh". Yep, there wasn't a gap in skill between Mayweather and Hatton. None at all. Right. Riiiiggghhhttt.

I can't wait to hear you cry for the next two freaking years if Ward beats Froch...... /sarcasm

Plus, Froch has said numerous times he doesn't mind the fact that the final is in America.

Not only did they tell every fighter prior to the tornument that the final will be in America, but it's obvious the final is going to be in America anyway. Froch also touched on both of those points.

So, there really is no problem at all.
