Comments Thread For: Chavez Jr: I'm Not Afraid of Cotto, Rubio, Sergio Martinez!

WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. wants the big names and the fights. The 25-year-old Mexican star approached his promoter, Bob Arum of Top Rank, and discussed his urge to fight the best out there - including Marco Antonio Rubio, Miguel Cotto and Sergio Martinez. There are negotiations for Chavez to face Peter Manfredo Jr. in September and then a possible fight with Cotto in the first half of 2012.

Yeah not afraid of Martinez or Cotto, but that doesn't mean you'll fight them next.Chavez,jr will take them on but years down the road. With "Puppet Master"(Arum) still alive, Chavez.jr will have a great "well-protected" championship career.

Thats the way to talk jr. But jr should fight manfredo first. Then rubio and then cotto. If he passes those test then maybe he should fight martinez. That way it would give jr more time to be with roach and maybe learn a few more tricks.

Jr should fight his tune up with Manfredo, then fight Cotto or Rubio and then wait until Martinez is 56 yrs old and challenge him to a fight.

This kinda reminds me of them old scooby doo cartoons. You got scrappy doo (jcc ) talking his way into all kinds of danger "let me at him, let me at him" lol and you got good old uncle scooby ( arum ) getting him out of harms way and saving him from a good old fashioned beat down.
