I think Margarito is further on the slide than Cotto but Cotto is still in decline also.

It will kind of like Morales-Barrera 3 or Ali-Fraizer 3 where both fighters are clearly in decline but the winner will still get credit.

I know those examples aren't the same as this scenario but you know what I mean.

I expect another war, but honestly if Marg has anything left then I see him taking the win again. Cotto is too easy to hit.
This is pretty much how I see it. Hopefully Cotto will go in with the understanding. That he needs reserves in terms of energy for the later rounds, and he can't afford to sustain any real damage in the early or mid rounds. If Cotto can't KO Margarito in the early to mid rounds, Margarito will not stop coming or throwing. Which will put him in a near identical predicament to the first fight.

I think Margarito cheated in the first fight, but I'm still not convinced he needed it for this matchup stylistically.

If it's another war yeah I think he should get at least a decent amount of credit because if it's another close war til the end then it shows Margarito wasn't completely shot, Manny's just on another level then both of em.

But if Cotto blows him out then it is sweet revenge but it shouldn't be something that gets counted as a great win for him either. A C- win probably just because Margarito is a bad style match up.

I think those are solid examples. Probably a good way to look at it. It's almost to the point where no one will really know how much each fighter has left till they get in the ring with each other.

I still question how Cotto can allow Margarito of any sort to hang around for 12 rounds without risking some serious trouble. It may be in his best interest to exclusivly box on the move.

I think it doesn't take a genius to figure this out.if cotto wins it doesn't put him on no p4p list or anything, but he would avenge his loss and that's all that matters even if cotto ever did make it look easy.not antbodys fault but margarito he wanted to go warrior mode against pacquiao.

While both are not in their prime, Margz without question is done. Health reasons should be his team's prevailing concern. The consecutive severity of the beatings (with one exception) he has taken beginning with the Cotto fight is remarkable. No way that level of hurt doesn't follow him into the ring from here on out. As a Cotto fan I can admit that Margz beats him 7 out of 10 times. But I will be shocked if this version of Margz in this upcoming fight doesn't just crumble like a building declared for demolition.
