WARRR Cotto !!
He was outboxing cheato easily until Tony's wraps hardened.
This time cheato has no wraps, he has faded, he was battered by Pac, has likely slipped more than Miguel, and is coming off a long layoff..... whereas Cotto has a proven gameplan, and a better trainer than the push-up counter Santiago.
Cotto UD in a real good punchup.

Martinez had no amateur career, and did not start boxing until he was 20yo, so in boxing terms he was still a green kid when they fought, whereas Margarito was a seasoned pro.
Now, that fight would not even be competitive.
Margarito could not beat any of the top welters, and would likely be beaten up by almost all of the top JMW's..... he simply aint on Martinez' level, and never has been on the level that Sergio is at right now.
Sergio had around 16-18 fights, Margarito had 23, 3 of them were LOSES. That's not really much of a difference if you are talking about "seasoned pro"Both were green whether you like it or not, you're also forgetting Margarito didn't really have an amateur career as well.
Beaten up by almost all the top JMWs? :rofl The top 1 and 2 already have a combined record of 0-3 against him.

it took a diminutive fighter from the far east to destroy the eyes of the cheat...
without plaster in his knuckles, the cheat will never win a fight...
this time, cotto will beat him black and blue...

Margarito will win, he has much more in the tank... Cotto vs Mayorga seemed like two senior citizens putting on a show for the crowd... Margarito is the first real opponent for Cotto since 2009, his last two fights were super easy. Margarito is a mexican badass he will easily recover from the Pacquiao beating, he did much better against Pac than Cotto. He got beat up, but still managed to give a fluent interview after the fight and recently he seems to be alright, he is not damaged as some may think. Tony will wear down Cotto once again, his style is just completely wrong for Cotto
