Doesn't matter. What do you think happens when they announce Martinez's record in a fight? That loss is going to come out. Answer me this since many of you like to avoid it. If Margarito's win vs Sergio shouldn't count then do you agree with Jones' win over Hopkins?
HOW LONG AGO was that? really idiotic for you to bring that fight up when both fighters are clearly not the same and have aged. you really think margs would even win one round against martinez? that's funny man....but yeah, i hope cotto beats margs. vanes, canelo, or martinez at 154 for cotto afterwards would be great.

i never said martinez's loss didn't count, wtfDoesn't matter. What do you think happens when they announce Martinez's record in a fight? That loss is going to come out. what i'm saying is trying to hold that loss against him or saying margs still beats martinez is silly because he has improved completely since that fight. it's like pacquiao's early losses. yeah, he lost but it was when he young/inexperienced, he's a more improved fighter now. do you understand that? their losses are still there, but it's before they hit their prime and margs is deff not the same fighter anymoreComment

Well you did say Margs is crap. Someone who is crap wouldn't of accomplished what he did for that long of time at WW. I'm confident enough at this point Margs even beating some top 10 Jr. Middle, hell even Chavez Jr. at 160 but not Martinez.i never said martinez's loss didn't count, wtf

what i meant to say is margs is crap now, he's shot imo. i didn't mean to say he ****** his whole career, i just think his best days are long gone. he got a beatdown by mosley, became inactive, went to a decision against a nobody, and then got another beatdown with his eye getting messed up by pacquiao. now he is taking more time off to face cotto next, i doubt he will have a good peformance. that's all i was saying. we will see what happens though, for now, i'm assuming cotto gets the decisionComment

The win was legitimate, it just has to be tempered with some common-sense.Doesn't matter. What do you think happens when they announce Martinez's record in a fight? That loss is going to come out. Martinez had no amateur career, and did not start boxing until he was 20yo, so in boxing terms he was still a green kid when they fought, whereas Margarito was a seasoned pro.
Now, that fight would not even be competitive.
Margarito could not beat any of the top welters, and would likely be beaten up by almost all of the top JMW's..... he simply aint on Martinez' level, and never has been on the level that Sergio is at right now.Comment
