If Cotto was presented with 3 contracts from Top Rank Chavez, Martinez and Margarito and Martinez was the best offer I would bet that Cotto would take that fight. I dont blame Martinez though for calling out Cotto, Pac ect. Because from 154-160 there aren't many options.

Cotto is not scared he is just smart. NOBODY Wants to fight Martinez and for good reason. There is nobody within 3 weight classes that can compete with him.

I was speaking more of going down than up and I'm not so sure he couldn't do well at 168 either. Dude is a beast and has talked about fights from 147 to 160 and it's not just talk.

Martinez is a pound for pound monster with speed, power and experience. Cotto should avoid him at all costs. He would HURT Cotto and that's not an exaggeration.
