We know these 3 guys experience the real beating at the hands of Manny. So we can say that they are more damage goods....

Ugh. I hate getting involved in this circle-jerk logic. So let me get this straight:

Mayweathers win over Mosely was legitimate because Mosely was coming off an impressive victory over Margarito (Nevermind Shane's 18 month lay-off).

Now, as you just stated; "without the plaster, Margarito is nothing more than a punching bag."

So how then is that an impressive victory for Mosely, and thus how did that make Mosely a game opponent for Floyd?

Mosely was the exact same opponent for Floyd as he was for Manny. Either Margarito is a legit opponent and both Mosely and Pacquiao's victories over him are legitimate, or Margarito was merely a "punching bag" in which NEITHER Floyd nor Pac's wins should be considered a legitimate victory over a "live" opponent in Mosely.

Logic dictates that you can't have it both ways, bud!

Arum doesn't care. He only wants to do what is best for himself, certainly not for boxing. He is going to put Mosley in the ring with Pacquiao soley because of name. It's a move that will squeeze out the last gasps of Mosley's once-outstanding career so Arum can generate another big payday while doing a disservice to real boxing fans who actually care about the matchups and not just a famous but faded name.

Roach said he preferred for Pacquiao to fight Marquez or Berto before Mosley, but said of the match when told it had been agreed to, "I think it's a good fight. I feel that Shane is one of the toughest guys left out there right now. He didn't get up for 'The Contender' guy [Mora], but he will get up for Manny Pacquiao. It's a difficult fight because Shane has speed and power.

"He's getting a little older, which is in our favor, but I expect Shane to be at his best because he's wanted this fight for a long time. I will get Pacquiao well prepared for this one."

I would bet you real money that if the Ortiz who beat Berto were to fight the Margarito that fought Manny at 147, he would batter that plodding punching bag until he was ******..... I see him walking down a hurt Margarito and stopping him late in the fight.

I dont see Margarito coming on to Ortiz for very long like he did with Manny, I see him resorting to slick movement like he did with Garcia

Mosley was past-prime before Mayweather, you could even see that he was faded early in that good win against Margarito..... but he was coming off that good win, he was still the #1 welter, and he was still too badasss for Manny according to Freddie Roach..... even at catchweight.

When Pac fought Shane..... EVERYONE knew that he was shot, big diff there.

With last week’s announcement that Floyd Mayweather Jr. would emerge from his cocoon and challenge Victor Ortiz for a share of the welterweight championship empire later this summer, the dueling factions in boxing’s most timely gang fight renewed cyber hostilities.

The Mayweather sycophants automatically chimed with the claim that the path from sabbatical to Ortiz would ultimately continue to a showdown with the pound-for-pound Filipino next spring.

On the other side, the Manny militia contrasted with the idea that fighting Ortiz was just another showy pit stop for a still-reticent “Money,” a move dictated more by fear than strategy.

And given all that as preamble, I’m still not exactly sure where I stand.

While I remained steadfast through delays that the superfight would indeed get made, I’d be lying if I said the resolve wasn’t shaken during what were surely out-of-character silences from a heretofore microphone-seeking Mayweather camp.

Rather than a signed contract, Team Pacquiao’s consent to stricter drug testing in the hoopla’s early phase was met with stony silence – giving swelling credence to an at-first silly claim that Floyd was more focused on protecting a 0 than risking his reputation.

Ortiz is a beast with: a strap; youth, size, talent and power in both hands and HE’S TAKING THE TEST! He’s got Pac fans scratching to find some reason to diss this fight while Manny is fighting little old Marquez. This fight will bring this Pac/Money debate to a head. When Floyd beats Ortiz and puts out the tee shirts that say: ‘TAKE THE TEST’ the worn out excuse about Floyd ducking Manny won’t fly any more. It will come down to what it’s really been about all along: the test.

All Floyd has to do is stick a jab in Pac's face everytime he tries to throw all them punches and check him in the body. Pac would be walking into counter punches all day in that fight. Pac doesn't know how to engage if his opponent is not rushing him. Mosley was on the run and Pac couldn't cut him off and put him down. Pac ain't ready for Floyd. Roach already said he doesn't have a game plan for Floyd and needs to switch Manny up and get him to see what he sees. He has to change Pac's whole style up against Floyd who switches up on the fly. Pac ain't beating Floyd.

And THAT's why Freddie and Bob are in no hurry to put Manny in the ring with Floyd.
