They do. This whole they have no experience with PPV numbers is not true, as for the longest time they had the records for PPV when Tyson fought under their logo. The truth is they were waiting because Bob wanted all the numbers possible counted. If this fight had sold in the 1.5 mark, we would have heard about it weeks ago. The fact it took this long makes me believe that Bob is not as happy with the numbers. He was expecting more .

Your a huge fan of a man who avoids OST and only fights defeated or handicapped fighters and your calling someone an idiot? Then you have a chicken pic of an undefeated true 5 division champion who's once again fighting a dude your man didnt wanna fight. It's kinda clear who the real idiot is.

Dude, Arum had trouble counting Manny's HBO fights also. It's called number gauging. Real boxing fans know the numbers come out in about a week. Anything longer is the BS.

And all the dumbasses that voted a man with a loss and a draw in the decade over an undefeated dude are looking like complete asses right about now.

ok , thats believable , i knew arum and some boxing experts announced 1.3m way before the official numbers were out , but his prediction was pretty spot on , i dont see whats wrong with that , they expected may vs mosley to do 3 mil , it didnt even do half

Who said this fight did huge numbers? We have only heard that from Bob Arum. The only time a network refuses to release the PPV numbers is when the fight bombed. Arum said Pac/Margarito did 1.5 million. When HBO released the numbers, it was 1.1 million. Arum said Pac/Cotto did 1.6 million. The official numbers said it did 1.2 million. You can count on Arum's number being off by at least 400,000. In this case, I would be the numbers were less than Pac/Clottey (700,000).

Again 1.3 is not a bad number, not at all. But they were expecting a lot more. Its not like its Manny's first PPv, he has had million dollar PPVs since 2008 when he fought Oscar, and prior to that he was already selling high PPV's as his PPV with Marquez that same year did something like 500,000 PPV's
This was disappointing because Bob Arum made a big deal about switching Pacquiao to Showtime and getting all of the viewers from CBS to watch the advertising. They spent a lot of money and time on this promotion and Arum really wanted to stick it to HBO. Now it seems HBO will end the year selling about the same as Showtime as I am sure Ortiz/Mayweather will do about 1.3 million.
