Oh yeah, definitely. He's no different than all the other greats that would shrink themselves down in weight to conquer. Most of them fall off, though, as they rise in weight because they don't carry the power with them and don't nearly possess the boxing skills that they need in order to beat naturally bigger foes.
For the record, I do believe that Donaire posseses great boxing ability, but I doubt he'll be able to take a flush shot from a Gamboa, or any legit featherweight, undeterred. Which is why I believe we'll truly see him shine at the higher weights because he'll be sharper and his true boxing ability will see through.
