    why did james toney end up with brain damage?

    i don't get it , he was never ko'd , not even stunned in his entiere career , and had one of the best defences in boxing history . but somehow he suffered a huge speech deterioration in the last 7 years ... what happened ?

        accumulated too much damage over a long career, sparred too often, went into fights out of shape constantly, and excessive use of drugs of alcohol and being obese doesnt help either. ever notice how yellow his eyes are nowadays?

            oh, if he does then I had no idea.

            I just attributed it to jaundice, which is caused by liver failure often stemming from excessive drug or alcohol use.

                The mechanism in the brain that makes you knocked out dont work, so he was taking punches he shouldnt have taken. He cant be knocked out even if Mike Tyson and Bruce lee hit him at the same time and their punches landed on him at the same time.
                Same thing that some people are allergic to water and daylight. The mechanism that makes you be knocked out is missing in his head.

                    ah, well jaundice typically is self-caused through substance abuse. unless he actually has started having freak liver failures for some reason, which is possible, its likely because hes been drinking too much.
                    that would also be a reason for how overweight he is.
