Why do people call Wlad "weak-chinned" when he's proven otherwise?

Peter has above average power at best, he has never displayed awesome power, he just got highly overrated for knocking down glass chin Wlad.

Wlad does not have a good chin at all and i would say he knows it and he accepts it witch is the reason he boxes so cautiously coughboringlycough...

Above average power connecting with an awful jaw equals knockout, surely?

just watch the first and the second fight. Peter's a shell of a man after the beatings he would go on to take since and during the first fight.
But he did land his power shot, at least in the first round he did. And it had no effect.

Still, that's only one shot. A better example would be the second Brewster fight where Brewster caught Wlad about three or four times hard against the ropes with leaping left hooks.

There are a fair few examples of Wlad getting hit with solid shots that had little to no effect on him, scattered throughout his career. They're hard to find due to his good defence, but they're there. Enough to disprove the "Wlad's chin is absolute glass" nonsense, at any rate.

I saw the Williamson fight. I think it was 2 fights after Brewster and I remember that flash kd very clearly. It was a flash kd, where Williamson caught Wlad flush while Wlad was off balance. Again, nothing to do with being weak-chinned. Just being off balance. But props for Williamson for landing it and getting the kd. It was definitely a legit KD.

I dunno, maybe you guys have a different definition of "weak-chinned" than I do. When I think of someone being weak chinned, I think of someone who goes down with the slightest shot and doesn't get back up. Every time Wlad has gone down, he's always gotten right back up to fight on.
rule number 1 on NSB if you get knocked down or out, you've no chin

I really can't blame a fighter for getting KD at HW almost every HW has KO power just becuase of the size of the weight class.

He's not weak chinned, but he has gotten so disorganized when he gets hit with ANY shot, it appears they are fazing him everytime...he ain't even hurt by them necessarily, he just doesn't react to them that great. He becomes undone to the point that he is going down off shots that you're basically saying he wasn't hurt by, and you're right.

Either by being gassed, panic, or whatever - there have been times he has gone down from random punches (in exchnages or ambushes) that werent exactly huge bombs as ppl normally define them

Yes, there was a punch at that time. But what did the damage was the headbutt that followed at 3:39/3:40.

so, rather than being weak in the chin, youre saying hes weak in the head?

Call it whatever you want, but it is still a major weakness and it has not been proven otherwise that it is not a weakness.

Other than fighting in a way that mitigates this specific weakness how does one become better at taking a punch?
