hes promoted by Ahmet Oner, tho.

it goes like, no risks, no fun, til the big fights come.

and what happen when the big fights come. well, ask Juan Carlos Gomez and Solis .

huh? Gomez and Solis were outstanding amateurs with incredible talent. They ****** big time in the paid ranks. Why? Cuz Oner built em the wrong way, never taking any risks, building up padded records to make them look credible as contenders.

I just hope Oner doesnt waste Gamboa's talent waiting for the one big fight which is supposed to turn Gamboa into superstar overnight.

More nonsense from the sanctioning bodies. As any serious fan knows, the boxing "organizations" are a sad joke. One division, one champion...that's the way things ought to be. These cynics at the WBA raise the mockery of the sport to new levels with their "super" champion garbage. As things stand, I don't care if Gamboa holds a belt or not; I still consider him the man to beat at 126.

WBA should just permanently delete the super belt, or the regular belt, or whichever of the two and just have one belt per division.

I agree somewhat with cuban born, "I agree their should be less belts." About two belts would be good. So both fighter can unify the belts, like a wild card so to speak. However there are rules gamboa and as it stands, all these belts have some sort of rule. they should do away with these interim championship belts asap. Never the less he is a world champion.

Well to be honest Gamboa never actually won the WBA title from any champion but was just given interim status for beating........???? and his status just kept getting bumped up.
