    I agree with you Natas.

There has to be some deal brokered out between them (Martinez and the WBC). Aside from the IBO belt, the WBC was the first world title he got from the big commissions. Perhaps, they've arranged something that benefits Martinez in some promotional way (since his promoter is failing). At least I hope so.

And then I intend to wait and see what the WBC's decision will be for permitting me to dispute the championship that I had before. Before that, I have a date secured with HBO on October 1st. They have already confirmed that the date is mine. And then I'll go for the title. But for that, what's happening is that the World Council does not want me in front of a Mexican rival. I have very good press in Mexico, and I can still continue to exploit it much more."

That is from saint Martinez himself. He set up a meeting and begged Sulaiman not to make him fight Chavez and, being the slimeball he is, Sulaiman agreed. The reason he's "such a slave" is because they're doing exactly what he asks them too.

Martinez does not want it with Chavez. He knows it would be over in 2 rounds and his career with it. He isn't as dumb as he looks.

anybody who knows boxing knows steroidgio martinez is scared 2 death of JR. steroidgio has done everything he can 2 duck JR frm allegedly taking PEDs w/ his bike-riding hero idol lance armstrong, 2 fighting japanese fishermen...

if Maravagina wants the fight all he has 2 do is take the test.

JR will fight him n the streets if necessary ala ROCKY V.

Who knows what went on in those talks.

The claim that Martinez is scared of Chavez is laughable. You are obviously a hater.
After Chavez won the title, Martinez fled the country and started telling his usual lies to placate his naive followers.

The fact of the matter is this, Martinez has been ducking Chavez for two years and does not want to fight him. Did you see the look on his face while JR was decimating Zbik? Total fear.

Montoya, if you're reading this, in your next fawning session (or as you call it "interview") tell Martinez to grow some balls, get his overrated ass to the Staples center and step to the undisputed middleweight champion of this world like a man.

He can't be the first, but he can be the next. 43 have tried and 43 have failed.

You Sergio fanatics are really getting out of control. You have actually resorted to making fun of people with mental disabilities!

Sergio has been ducking JR, and that is a well known fact. Sergio is using the crooked Suleiman to help him avoid JR, Sergio stans don't want to hear this though because they worship that glorified bum like a god.

If the fight ever takes place(if Sergio grows a pair) then I predict the fight will not go past 5 rounds, with JR winning by brutal knockout.

Please dude- Chavez jr is a punk and Martinez would completely murder him in the ring, the only people who don't want to know this are you and that mushdeena dude who says he hates Martinez yet has his pic in his sig,

It's obvious that Martinez attempted to execute his option to fight Chavez immediately and Sulsiman told him no, hence they came to an agreement as to when they could fight. Arum and Roach don't want Chavez anywhere near Martinez; Arum was making up excuses to avoid Martinez even before the ring was cleared out on Saturday night. Chavez was getting his arse beat up against Zibik at times man- you think he'd fair any better against Martinez?

A career would be over if they fought, sure- it just wouldn't be Martinez's career
