Why is Martinez such a slave to the WBC??

Seriously. He wins titles at both 154 & 160. The WBC responds with "this isn't the day of henry armstrong, you can only be a titlist at one weight class, not both, choose one." So Martinez drops the 154 belt and keeps the belt at 160. How does the WBC repay him? By striping him of his belt at 160, practically handing it over to Chavez jr for nothing and giving Sergio the biggest joke belt of all time the "diamond belt" with the promise that he can fight Chavez whenever he wants. Martinez then elects to fight Chavez now, and the WBC responds by telling him no, not now, let chavez defend his title once or twice. Martinez agrees.

What gives? Why does he continue to be such a slave to such a piece of trash organization? Why doesn't he say FUCK THE WBC, hire lawyers, etc.? He doesn't HAVE to bend over like a ho if he doesn't want too. He still has the ring belt and is recognized as the true, linear MW champ of the world. What has the WBC ever done for his career other than lie and double cross him?

It's like a goddamn cult with you people:

"We had a meeting with president of the WBC [Jose Sulaiman], and we came to an agreement. I'll have to wait for Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. to make his first belt defense. And then I intend to wait and see what the WBC's decision will be for permitting me to dispute the championship that I had before. Before that, I have a date secured with HBO on October 1st. They have already confirmed that the date is mine. And then I'll go for the title. But for that, what's happening is that the World Council does not want me in front of a Mexican rival. It's that we're like brothers with the Mexicans. So according to Sulaiman, it's not convenient for me at the moment to be fighting a Mexican. I have very good press in Mexico, and I can still continue to exploit it much more."

That is from saint Martinez himself. He set up a meeting and begged Sulaiman not to make him fight Chavez and, being the slimeball he is, Sulaiman agreed. The reason he's "such a slave" is because they're doing exactly what he asks them too.

Martinez does not want it with Chavez. He knows it would be over in 2 rounds and his career with it. He isn't as dumb as he looks.

You do realize that He was calling out the winner of the Zbik/Chavez fight just before it went down, and called out Chavez immediately after he won the "title". After which Arum shut down Martinez' valid claim to fight Chavez as the *sigh 'Champion Emeritus'. What you bolded is Martinez saying that the WBC shut him down. Who knows what went on in those talks.

The claim that Martinez is scared of Chavez is laughable. You are obviously a hater.

Martinez would beat up Chavez Jr. the reason I think is that Martinez has a good relationship with Sulaiman and also the WBC was the first one who gave him an opportunity. Plus he is a badazz dude. The WBO stripped him and gave the goldenchild an opportunity and he got beat by pirog.

If you think Chavez Jr can beat Martinez you have down syndrome and probably look like this guy.
