Mayweather-Berto was the plan.

2 undefeated Al Haymon fighters.

Ortiz messed that up. Other than Pacquiao, he's probably the top guy at welterweight. So once again, Floyd is fighting the number two man, rather than The Man.

Ortiz gives Floyd a good fight. Hopefully knocks him down a couple times. He'll lose, Floyd will look good, and then take another year or so off.

Look, May is one of my favorite fighters but quite frankly I'm disgusted by the disrespect shown towards one of my other favorite fighters the champ Ortiz. he ain't no chump like Baldomir or Judah. He's being disrespected like some bum or journeyman which he is clearly not. FFS May was already unofficially defeated by Castillo and now Ortiz is just supposed to bow down and take a beating from May?

You would think that ortiz should have earned some respect by the way he beat down berto, when was the last time May "beat down" an opponent in that manner? Y'all are saying ortiz is gonna get a beating like may is known to do that or something....the last time he koed a real champ was when he koed that brawler Hatton. Ortiz is a whole different animal.

Same was said for Salido, Arce, Montiel against Hazegawa, and even Ortiz himself against Bero. What happened in those fights?

I truly believe Ortiz has the style to Ko May if not beat him decisively. Points? WTF? Points don't hold any real value to me, I will bet anyone all my "points" Ortiz will tax that ass like he did Berto
