Comments Thread For: Haye Sends Chilling Warning to Klitschko With New Game

Haye is doing everything right in the build up to this fight imo. Wlad was pissed off with him about the t-shirt, he is now going to uber pissed about the game showing his head being knocked clean off.
If you fight with anger you usually lose, and that's Hayes game plan for Wlad.

I don't see it that way. For all his faults, Haye never gives up, and however battered he is, I don't think he'll lose his speed or his power (unless Wlad goes to the body, which he very rarely does). Now Wlad does throw lazy jabs sometimes, and Haye is basically a counter-puncher (a fact that few seem to acknowledge, but it's the case). I think Haye's strategy throughout will be to try to wing a big right hand over the top of a lazy jab, and he is as likely to succeed with that late as he is early, especially if Wlad gets complacent late on, which he could do if Haye gets badly outboxed in the early rounds.Last edited by Dave Rado; 06-10-2011, 08:02 AM.Comment

I criticised him as much as anyone while he was still ducking, but if he was scared, it was of losing (and of the financial loss that losing last year would have entailed) - he was not scared of the fight itself. And the ducking is over now, and this is part of the hype, and the hype is working. And any fan of Wlad should be glad that it's working because the hype is very much in Wlad's interests, as long as he wins, both because it will make him a lot of money and gain him a lot of exposure, and because beating Haye convincingly will massively increase the respect he gets outside of Eastern Europe and Germany. If you can't see that, you're blind.Last edited by Dave Rado; 06-10-2011, 08:19 AM.Comment

It's true that he ducked the fight for a long time but no one who fights at this level is "a scared little coward", as you put it - no one. And no one who has ever fought seriously would ever make that claim. It takes serious guts to get in the ring with other top fighters.

I'm not reading that extended screed. Save your pseudo-righteous stance for someone who gives a damn what you think, son.
Haye is a coward and shall be the recipient of a thousand Steelhammer fists come fight night.
You smell that, son????
Ahhhhhh, Napalm son.Comment

Ooh, now ******* like iBreakbeat and 'Rick Grimes' can pretend to be David Haye KO'ing Wlad in their sweet little video-game enactments, because that's the only place they'll ever see it happen.
That's -- DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNN -- chilling.Comment
