so just because mosley had about 45 seconds of success his style beats FMJ? ridiculous. I guess corley's style beats him too??

ODLH was on the fast track to beat him until he abandoned the jab. He did better than castillo IMO.. i've watched the castillo fight over and over and don't see how anyone would have him winning unless they really want floyd to lose.

As far as past fighters, Hearns, Leonard, Winky, and Forrest. I think Terry Norris would have beaten Floyd too.
is that why winky turned down a fight with floyd? and remeber those were the days of pretty boy floyd

Giving the Castillo bit a pass since it's known he was hurt and he's effectively dealt with pressure since.

Not really a style, but.. Power, speed and smarts beat him.

The closest thing Floyd has seen to it is Judah and Mosley.

He has yet to face any fighter with all 3 attributes though.

Pacquiao is also in the 2 out of 3 dept. and outside a Foreman/Moorer punch I think the result still would be you need all 3 to beat him.

I would say pressure fighter with attributes and athletism who applies pressure. You dont want to try outbox him because that might not happen, and you dont want to stand there admiring his pot shotting or work for too long.

Castillo is the only pressurre figher to have beaten Floyd so hes proved it works. And just because many other pressure fighters have failed, doesnt mean its not a pressure fighter that is going to beat him again. A pressure fighter has the best chance of nailing him i guess.

Really? Please explain because I saw De la Hoya win 3 rounds at best 4 being extremely generous. The theory of De la Hoya not jabbing over the 2nd half of the fight has been proven false many times over also.

most important thing is mental conditioning, which i think is the key to his victory in the berto fight. he saw himself winning that fight, which is why he never gave up and kept coming back. berto may not have been the best fighter to prove the point, but a success like that builds confidence.

Ortiz conditioning has never been a problem and against Berto was the only fight he was the underdog in

In my opinion and it may sound crazy but a bigger stronger Jesus Chavez or atleast the way he fought Floyd. He just kept his head in Floyd chest and swung away and didnt aim just hit would he could and walk through Floyd punishment. He landed significant shots with that style. He waited till he got into Floyd chest and let his hands go it was pretty effective. Which is why I would have loved to see him against Marg back then. I think the only way to beat him is to not let it go to the cards. He punches so cleanly and they are easy for the judge to score.
