most of the current fighters at Welterweight only have a PUNCHERS CHANCE...but a style that could give Mayweather problems would be a fighter like Andre Ward if he was a Welterweight

people are thinking that "SPEED CAN BEAT HIM" or "POWER CAN BEAT HIM"...I don't think it is either of those, it has to be another "MASTER CHESS PLAYER", a guy that is very cerebral in that ring and a guy that can change things up during the fight just like Mayweather can and I think someone like Ward would be able to do that...I put it like this, all of those styles that Most Fans consider "BORING"...those are the best styles for Mayweather so styles like: Chad Dawson and Andre Ward, those real Technical boxers are the ones that can give him problems

Sergio Martinez size and style could be effect as well! but the problem Sergio would have would be on defense, he wouldn't be able to get away from Mayweather like he was able to get away from Pavlik and Williams, he wouldn't be able to make Mayweather MISS like he was able to make Pavlik and Williams miss him

But my SLEEPER and up and comer that could do to Mayweather what Terry Norris did to Sugar Ray Leonard if Mayweather stick around too long...that would be BRAD SOLOMON!!! Nobody knows him now but in another year if he can get on HBO or Showtime and somebody gives him a shot, he is going to be a MAJOR PROBLEM in that Welterweight Division...MAJOR! I would probably pick him to beat Mike Jones, Andre Berto and Vic Ortiz RIGHT NOW if he was to fight one of them

The Ghost Robert Guerrero is another guy, but he has to work on his defense and his footwork but offensively he has a style that could be effective against Mayweather which is probably why he called him out

so why some of you saying this is a tune fight?
The thing that makes it hard to beat Floyd is that he has different styles.
He can fight going foward. can fight going back, can fight on the inside, can fight on the outside.

Fighters have been pressuring Floyd his entire career.
Plus look for Floyd to back Ortiz up in their fight.
Floyd will walk Ortiz down not the other way around.

Can Ortiz fight going back? No No No.
            Look at some video.

Hitman Hearns would give Floyd fits beyong belief. That would be his worst matchup.
Exactly tall, rangy, very good jab, that gives everyone problems

I wouldn't call Ortiz a pressure fighter, he's just not active enough or atleast hasn't been unless you're going to single out his one performance against Berto....I mean I see what you're saying but after that Maidana loss, he's seemed, to me atleast, to be very hesitant...whether that draw versus Peterson woke him up or something, or just the opportunity to grab a belt from Berto did...just since that loss he hasn't been "Vicious" Victor Ortiz, until the Berto fight. Secondly, I do not think Ortiz has the speed to contest with Floyd, but other than that, he's very solid. He will pose some problems for Floyd, I expect this to be a very good fight, and I hope I'm right, so we can all enjoy it. As for his choice of stance, I dunno...I don't know how much it matter tbh...those guys that gave Mayweather some trouble (Corley, Judah) from that stance, still lost...how much does that really mean....Mayweather got rocked by an orthodox fighter in Shane Mosley, does that mean his weakness is right hands?

                  I agree with this 100%

I never bought into that whole a pressure fighter would beat and castillo showed the blueprint to beat Floyd. I always wanted Floyd to fight another guy who is an elite boxer and could adjust mid round and that is why I thought Mayweather vs Martinez is the best fight right now in boxing. Martinez has the best shot right now to take Floyd's zero

the disparity in skills is just way too high.

wifebeater won't be making mistakes like berto did...

this fight is not competitive, the only way to look at it is to say it's a tune up for pac. anything less is disappointing.

                    When this fight is over,
this is what people will realise what this fight is about.
It's a tune up fight, after this it's all about the Pac/May fight.

This is pretty much the end of the line for these 2.
No other fight should be made.

a non stop pressure fighter who is good at cutting the ring off , with a good chin, limitless stamina, with a decent size adavantage and power beats floyd...in other words , margo punishes floyd....

a southpaw, non stop pressure fighter with power, combinations, weird angles, speed and footwork along with a killer instinkc of a shark punishes floyd into a stoppage...in other words, pac beats the **** out of him..

a southpaw who is huge, is smart, fast , powerful , about ave average stamina(maybe due to his age) but cautious, decisions him..in other words, sergio beats him..

                      those are imos...
