all those guys you posted couldn't be among the greatest because of this single flaw.

You don't need speed. Joe Louis, Lennox Lewis and Rocky Marciano demonstrated.

You don't need KO power. Ali and Ray Leonard didn't have KO power.

Out of all the natural attributes, the chin is #1 imo

The most common attribute most ATG's have is a great chin.
Bingo. You can be a great fighter without a solid chin but IMO it is almost essential if you want to be one of the all-time greats.

I actually made a thread about it: Chin is an Underrated Attribute in Boxing

HAving a chin is verrrry important, it does not win fights, but it helps you from staying in the fight. No matter how good of a fighter you are, you will get testing some time or another, and that will determine how well your chin really is.

Lewis actually didn't haev a glass chin.

RJJ was roided out of his mind in his prime. His physicality was greatly enhanced to give him the speed he had to dart out of his opponent's offence.

          Think of Hagler and Hearns

What made the difference between that ATG fight between ATG's?

          The chins.

i think its probably the best attribute a fighter can have. its boxing, you're gonna get punched, if you can't take it, you aren't going far.

The strength of your chin makes the difference in a lot of fights. Just the same as lacking power. Either/or will entirely change the way a fight is fought. Chin isn't just a chin. It's a mental advantage. Do you think Margarito would have been what he was if he had to worry about taking the punches? Do you think anybody would run straight at Wlad if he had the chin of David Tua? Chin is extremely important. Fighters with bad chins are at an immediate disadvantage in a sport where one punch can end the contest no matter what you say. Put a great chin on an averagely skilled fighter then put an average chin on a greatly skilled fighter. George Foreman VS Wlad Klitschko. Who wins? Wlad will land more... George will land once. That's how that fight looks theoretically.

It's basically like asking if height is important in a basketball game where the first to 40 slam dunks automatically wins the game no matter the score.

It's one of the two or three most important things a fighter can have, and if you don't have a good chin you better have the skills to hide it. Not many fighters become truly great without one.
