WW is their full grown weight class people forget how small they were. I'd bet money that Pac and May walk around under 160 and most JMW walk around at 170 or more.
include Sahir Raheem these are all boring fighters makes me feel like sleeping pils.

Indeed. He clearly had the option to quit when he faced adversity with Berto, not just with one, but two kd's with the latter being a mean right hand from Berto. He got up, fought through the round, and in fact, dropped Berto himself.

But of course, a fight from two years ago is more relevant... which is why Pacquiao is finally fighting JMM... or should I say, is fighting JMM right on time...?

Ortiz never fought nobody. Berto. Lol!

Easy fight for Floyd. Golden Boy trying to blow Ortiz up to sale tickets. He beat Berto a overated fighter that never faced nobody. Ortiz was Berto biggest fight and Berto was Ortiz biggest fight. We know who going to win before the fight happen. Floyd easy! Lol! Floyd fights are jokes

I dont know if Mayweather actually selected Ortiz as " prep " for Manny ?

Do you guys really think that ?

I suppose, maybe he could have.....

But, other than being a southpaw, Ortiz is nothing like Manny.

Maybe you're right, but to me, the only thing that really suggests that Floyd could be looking toward Manny is not because he picked a sp, it is because he picked such a tough fight, period.

I am sure that it would be beneficial, but Mayweather doesn't really need to "warm-up" against a southpaw for Manny, Vic is nothing like Manny, and for a Pac fight they will have a full camp and a full compliment of sparring partners..... the thing for me is that Mayweather could have selected anyone for a "comeback" opponent, because nobody would have expected much after a 16-month layoff..... but he didnt, he chose the toughest possible opponent other than Manny.

I believe that there is a reason why Mayweather took a live dog instead of a warmup, I just dont know what that reason is. May is not interested in belts, or in legacy, he fights for cheques..... he can make money fighting anyone, so why pick the stud Ortiz?

Financial positioning for a Pac negotiation being the WBC champ ?

Who knows, but still surprised that Mayweather selected Ortiz.

I honestly have a feeling he came back to shut critics up. Either that or to retake his number 1 P4P title. Maybe he's fooling the fans into thinking it's a warm up for Pac but who else out there is a Southpaw...? Martinez idk regardless if he chooses to fight either Pac or Martinez...we would all get a great treat as boxing fans."peeleft:
