Berto was a champ for a long time, and most people wanted to see him up against Pac or May, and he got beat by a better fighter in Ortiz. *******s have already started to disrespect Ortiz calling him green and overhyped when just a short while ago they were saying how Mayweather doesn't have the balls to take on a challenge like Ortiz. I've got no problem with Pac fighting Marquez & May fighting Ortiz, I just hate hypocracy and more often then not Pac can do no wrong in who he fights, and Mayweather is always cherrypicking.

What's makes even less sense is when it happens with the same opponent; Mosley was a weak old man when he got beat by Mayweather, but when he signed to fight Pac he was a seasoned veteran ready for war. Marquez was beat by Mayweather because he was way too small to be competative at 147 yet i've heard little to no complaints from *******s about the upcoming rematch. Can't have it both ways, even though some of the more illogical *******s seem to refuse to accept this.

nahh. big difference again. not one single ******* wanted margarito, for exampe, for pac. it's a big risk with zero reward. scum arum presented his son marg to pac. if pac had refused marg, pac would have been accused of ducking marg. pac fans would have loved to see berto for pac. point is, the alternatives for pac that haters want to see him fight were way easier fights clothed in fake paper titles.

I don't know if green is the right word but I do think he's inexperienced for this kind of fight. Ortiz has had two title fights, losing the first one and floyd has had nearly 20 title fights.

That doesn't mean ortiz wont rise to the occasion but I highly doubt he'll be mentally prepared for a fight like this.

With that said it is the best fight at welterweight for Mayweather besides pacquiao, mostly because the division is kind of whack right now.

Well, this has nothing to do with my post, but whatever. If you honestly think that Clottey & Marg were in any way tougher for Pac then Berto would have been your lying to yourself. & no one would have said Pac was ducking Marg because Marg was a that point just an shadow of the threat he once was.

I never knocked Pac fighting any of them, Pac is a fighter that fights whoever is placed in front of him by Arum. The only real problem i had was being given a paper title for fighting Marg who shouldn't have even been ranked as a top jmw, that's much worse then fighting Berto who actually earned the title he had.

I'm not talking about who Pac should have or shouldn't have fought, I just don't like people acting like Ortiz isn't the best option at ww besides Pac, if you know a better opponent for Mayweather please let me know. In the end as soon as someone signs to fight Mayweather certain people start picking them apart and as soon as Pac signs them they start building them up, even if the same ****ing fighter & that my friend is hypocracy.

Not true at all about Berto. There are plenty of links that you could dig up which would show so called boxing fans were of the opinion that Berto is/was still green for Pac. Fans would throw in names like Bradley, Khan, Maidana, even Alexander as alternatives. Same posters would rip these boxers apart saying they were not yet ready for Pac.

So it's not really clear how you can fault Pac when fans themselves say that the alternatives were even worse.

Paqciao fans would have loved to see their idol taken on smaller guys even with paper titles. Which fans wouldn't?

Berto was the definition of a hypejob. Ortiz isn't exactly a world beater and he completely kicked the hell out of Berto. Berto has no wins over anyone relevant.

This is a great fight for Floyd to take though. Ortiz is only behind Pacquiao and Mayweather at welter, he's young, he's big, he seems to be hungry again, and while Floyd should win easy that is the case with damn near anyone Floyd can realistically fight. No reason for anyone to be criticizing this fight at all.
