Comments Thread For: Schaefer on Mayweather-Pacquiao Debate, Ortiz, More

Golden Boy Promotions' CEO Richard Schaefer believes that unbeaten Floyd Mayweather has been wrongly castigated over the course of his nearly 25-year career in general, and, when it comes to comparisons with eight-division and WBO welterweight titlist, Manny Pacquiao, in particular.

Can't argue, and all I know is Golden Boy is bringing it this year.

    Hopkins/Pascal 2

    Morales/Maidana

    Gonzalez/Hasegawa

    Guerrero/Katsidis

    Khan/Judah

    Alexander/Mattysse

    Ortiz/ Berto

    Kirkland/Ishida

    Hopkins/Dawson

    Guerrero/Maidana

    Mayweather/Ortiz

And that's just fights, which either have happened or are in the process of being made. They still got Mares, Linares, Collazo, Canelo, and possibly Donaire on deck, so I give much props to Rich and his team for giving the fans some quality match ups so far.

blah-blah-blah!!! okey, Pac is the the best in the division according to Schaefer aside from Ortiz, and WHY NOT select Pac if Pac just fought unworthy opponents or his left overs? Why not show Pac and all fans ang non-fans of boxing that he is better than him???!!! Why??? answer this before none-sense blah-blah-blah again will come out! Too much comparison for the two, too muh concept who's best, but the only thing to settle the score is so simple, the two should face now or never! Since Pac accepted unconditional blood test required by Floyd, then the ball now on Floyd.. if he have that balls to face Pac!

Manny Pacquiao and his promoter have been pre booking his fights for the last 2 years. Dude, posts like yours are getting pretty old. Serious boxing fans who have followed the sport for years understand what Arum and Pacquiao are doing, and why their doing it. Manny may not be scared to fight Floyd, but he has proven very reluctant to make his own decision regarding whom he should fight. We can only hope May 2012 the fight becomes reality.

and why did richard schaeffer remove the fact that OSCAR cherrypicked pacquiao and oscar was a 3-1 odds fav on that fight, and oh ricky hatton moved up in weight to fight floyd and looked **** in that weight class before that, and manny fought 2 tough fights with marquez in their natuaral weight class, lolz thats what you call selective memory... and oh oh he beat them in more impressive fashion except marquez because this we will see this november......young and hungry doesnt mean your good enough to fight floyd or manny...

After the Cotto fight fans want Floyd but he refused so Pac fought Clottey. After Clottey fans want Floyd and he refused again. After Margarito fans and Pac wants Floyd and he refused again. After Mosley fight fans want Floyd and he said he's not available, then he will fight Ortiz instead. The conclusion is Floyd is afraid of the Pacman...

Manny Pacquiao have been fighting ****y fighters ever since he fought jmm. He fights fighters that are either coming of their biggest loses or looked like shit in their previous fights and he still manages to get full praise from the media.

Let the record be clear: Manny Pacquiao and his promoter Bob Arum are threatening to walk away from the largest fight in history. The fact is that random blood and urine testing was one of the many deal points and was listed along with the others, such as the financial split, the weight, financial penalty for being overweight, the appointment of the foreign sales agent, the production of the marketing assets, the gloves and many more. Team Mayweather made major concessions in many of these areas and we were optimistic that Team Pacquiao would do the same as it related to the request for random blood and urine testing, which Floyd Mayweather agreed to immediately.

                  That's just for starters.

Hatton was a former Welter champ by defeating collazo, I don't wanna hear that move up non sense, once again I will use the same lines Pac fans use "he agreed to the weight and the terms of the fight" that's yalls excuse for catchweights.
