No he is not. He actually has good footwork and he moves his head unlike Cotto. Ortiz is also more explosive and has better stamina than Cotto.

And then some people actually think this is gonna be a good fight. Its really sickening how Mayweather keeps making people think he actually fights threatening opponents.

He fights an old Mosley who hadnt fought in more than a year, but because his last fight was the beatdown of Margarito, everyone thinks it was gonna be a fight.

Now he fights a Victor Ortiz who got stopped at 140 and got dropped against Berto in a fight he only one because of his heart. After Mayweather exposes his lack of skill, he will probably fight another 140 guy coming up in weight instead of Pacquiao.
He's a legit 147 you idiot, he was draining himself to make 140. I'm curious to see how you feel about Pac fighting Mosley and Margarito and now Marquez. Cotto is no longer a 147 pounder and hasn't done anything after losing to pac.

Cotto is not really like Ortiz at all. Cotto boxes more and sometimes slugs it out. Cotto's chin isnt as good as Ortiz's.

Also it depends what type of Ortiz comes into the fight, if its berto Ortiz, then you got a guy throwing 60 hard punches per round and applies a lot of pressure.

Cotto fights going backward more and has got some skill but his chin isnt as good as Ortiz. Also, Cotto isnt the same guy that he once was, so in a matchup i think ortiz wins on straight pressure and outworking him.

So no, hes not a poor mans cotto, two completely different fighters.

Ortiz has been a LOT busier than Cotto. Since he lost to Maidana he has had 6 fights and in the same time Cotto has only been in the ring half that amount of times.

You think Ortiz is a better boxer?

You gotta give the body punching and the jab to Cotto.

              Their chins are very close.

              Heart I give to Cotto.

I always compare the Torres and Maidana fights.

1 fight at 147 and hes already gotten dropped the same number of times Cotto got dropped in all the time he was at this weight. If he has better head movement than Cotto, then it must mean he has also a weaker chin than Cotto.

I think his footwork leaves a lot to be desired. Its his poor footwrok that gets him dropped so many times he's just caught off-balance, theres some serious time needs to be invested in his lower body.

He is in the same league as Khan when it comes to that, in my opinion.

Cotto was also a legit 147, who by the way didnt lose a fight at 140, but that didnt stop Mayweather from ducking him though.

Oh yeah and Ortiz beating Berto is something. As far as boxing is concerned Cotto-Foreman=Ortiz-Berto, then add the fact of what Cotto has done in this business, and what Ortiz has done, and Cotto will always be the better fight. Im not even a Pacquiao fan so I dont know why you're asking but Im gonna answer anyway.

The Mosley fight was a fight that never needed to happen so I didnt bother even watching cause I knew the result before the fight was even made.

Margarito fight was a good fight which makes me ask why did Manny let Margarito fight at 150, but Cotto fight had to be at 145? Makes you think of who is the dangerous opponent. Still Pacquiao was impressive against a much heavier Margarito.

Marquez keeps talking trash about how he is better than Pacquiao so if I where manny I would take this fight to shut him up.
