not really, i don't think anyone puts him over mayweather or manny in a match-up prediction. the guy has skills, but before beating berto, he lacked heart. he was a promising fighter who some thought he had a bright future, but he really dug himself a hole when he quit against maidana and started "slacking" a bit. but in his latest showing, he showed just how good and how much heart he had. he's not overrated imo, he just exploded in terms of expectations. lot of people wrote him off when facing berto. moving up and drawing against peterson, he was the underdog. but he proved what he is capable of, and what better of a fight to have when coming off the biggest win of your career then the biggest challenge you can have, floyd mayweather jr. he's a huge underdog, but if he comes with the same mentality he had against berto that night, he can make things interesting. he's not overrated though, no one is calling him the next big thing..
Is Ortiz being over-rated due to his win over Berto?

I think he is being overrated. It's true he's highly ranked, champion, young, skilled, southpaw, and hungry but all that doesn't matter if Floyd is in a different league. To me, saying Ortiz is a great challenge to Floyd is saying Ortiz is in the same league as Floyd and Pacquiao. If your opponent is not at your level, then he's not a real threat.Comment
