Floyd was the first man ever to beat, and stop Diego Corrales. Floyd took this fight 4 months after Corrales had defeated previous Mayweather opponent, Angel Manfredy almost as quickly as Floyd had.

Oh, and he's fighting Victor Ortiz after Ortiz is coming off the biggest win of his career, a 12 round decision victory over previously unbeaten Andre Berto.

In short, I have no idea What the **** you're talking about.
    non sense...

Pac's legacy will always be tainted unless he will be man enough to fight anyone in their prime. ****ing anyone. Not Morales after 10 years of boxing. Not Barrera after countless wars. Not Larios at the end of his rope either. You overrated all those wins. Pac didnt fight any one of them in their prime, all on the downside. The last of Morales' prime was spent beating pac's ass. He couldnt beat Marquez with 3 knockdowns in the first round AND hitting him while he was down. Pac is like Butterbean. All showcase fights. King of the cherrypickers.

Give Mayweather credit for finally fighting a top welterweight, even though Ortiz is naturally a junior welter that struggled with mediocre 140ers. It is a good fight for a comeback but does little to erase the fact that he refused to fight the top welterweights for years. He still is only fighting sure wins and after this one he will have to step up just the same or retire again further destroying his shallow legacy.

wow. this post is basically saying extra tests for pac is unnecessary. no wonder the "take the test" slogan is not resonating with the mainstrream media. the advocates themselves don't believe it's necessary.

          case close.

                ^^
                this.
funny how he jumps into an ortiz fight after ortiz has one fight at welter and whose hype far exceeds his actual ability and the threat he possesses, yet guys like cotto, margarito, paul williams, pac were around for years when he was at welter and he wanted nothing to do with them.
he has to fight pac next or he pretty much exposes himself as the one ducking the fight

Learn the definition of Cherry Picking guy.

Floyd is gonna fight a top guy at Welterweight, a **** hair under 6 months after his biggest win to date once they step in the ring together. It's not a shot past prime fighter. It's a 24 year old Lefty.
