Whats funny is now Floyd Mayweather has more options than Pacquiao.

Mayweather vs Khan 147 (goldenboy fighter)

Mayweather vs Bradley 147 (if he doesn't sign with top rank)
Mayweather vs Martinez 154 ( i feel that mayweather would fight but pacquiao won't)

Pacquiao vs Bradley 147 (if bradley doesn't sign with golden boy)
Pacquiao vs Judah 144 (if judah beats khan)
Pacquiao vs Cintron 147 (just threw up in my mouth)

Pacquiao can't fight chavez jr or Khan because of Roach
Also Pacquiao vs Cotto 2 is an option but Cotto must beat Chavez jr and Margarito

Damn, outside of Bradley, that's a horrible lineup for Pacquiao.

I am actually interested in Mayweather/Pacquiao vs Canelo at 154 next year[154 only] anything less, i'm not interested.


I am also interested in Mayweather vs Khan at 147. Obviously i'm not going to say Pacquiao because they are "biffs".


Mayweather vs Maidana right now is like meh.


Mayweather will not fight Martinez. Because I think Martinez has to get the WBC title back in order for Mayweather to even look at him. The reason I say this is because Floyd likes going for the WBC title only. If he goes up to 160, it's gonna be for a title, and it's gonna be for the WBC title, which Top Rank has right now. Floyd was the WBC champion at 130, he went up to 135 and targeted the WBC champion Jose Luis Castillo, went up to 140 to target the WBC champion Arturo Gatti, went up to 147 and fought the WBC champion Carlos Baldomir, and finally went up to 154 to fight the WBC champion Oscar De La Hoya. Floyd has said it himself, he only targets WBC champions when it comes to titles. This was evident for the Mosley fight, when h refused to pay for the sanctioning fees for the WBA title. There was one exception with the IBF for th Judah fight, where Mayweather-Judah was already signed before Judah lost to Baldomir, but Floyd followed it up with a win over WBC champion Baldomir.

So yeah, I think Martinez needs to get that WBC strap back if he wants a fight with Floyd, which at this point seems impossible with Arum haing plans of keeping the title hostage in Top Rank. And this is why Mayweather-Canelo makes sense for next year[as long as Canelo keeps the WBC title]. Because Floyd is a WBC guy, he will go after Canelo because of his WBC title. I doubt Mayweather goes after Chavez Jr, Cotto or any other Top Rank fighter for the WBC title.

Well I know myself, the Floyd vs Ortiz fight is much more intriguing than Manny vs Marquez.

Even though Marquez is still a much more talented fighter than Ortiz IMO, he comes across as a fading fighter. Ortiz, who IMO does not stand a chance against Floyd, is at least on the rise and should make it fun.

Manny vs Ortiz would have been a fun fight also, but you know Arum. The last thing he would want is another promoter cutting into his potential profits.

I am also glad to see Floyd back. I know many hate him around here, but I personally love to watch him fight and he certainly creates buzz for the sport. It is all good.
